***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

played on the ocuk server yesterday, didnt have any problems, meet a couple of people which resulted in no deaths, i was suprised, currently just arrived at the powerplant, after a long loop in the wilderness, its an addictive game and hopefully meet up with a few of you. kinda gets a tad boring on your own. :)

ive only ever bumped into 1 person who didnt kill me...tbf i had a m4 in my hand and he only had a axe but he didnt know my gun was empty :p i just put my hand up and he carried on
 
You can't compare A3 to DayZ SA. Arma 3 is well worth every penny for all it's content (not DayZ related) and at this point in time a far better version of DayZ. Only reason I stopped played the A3 version is because I hate the map. But for performance/content A3 wins every time on every level. It also looks 100 times better, but DG will come along and fanboi his SA with Rocket :)


Witcher, now that the A2 assets have been ported over, including all the maps, it wont be long until you see an A3 version of the dayz mod within Chern I bet..

That would be so amazing, I don't know what happened to zoombies as they had Cherno/Tav but they got it pulled by BI for some reason. I may be wrong but I think I saw a letter they got or something. I figured it was map related?
 
Who was at the NW military base yesterday evening?

You took a shot at a zombie in a field and then went past my hiding spot and were about to enter the barrack building.

I opened fire and you combat logged - ffs go and play COD if you can't deal with it. I don't normally open fire but you had already fired once and you looked heavily armed.

Still plenty of server hoppers - looting a prison with Neil79 and I say to him that I can hear somebody upstairs - suddenly gun fire erupts and luckily the server hopper died :P but his body ghosted and kept running out of the room and falling outside the building in an infinite loop...

Best way to not get shot whilst armed, is to go on our TS (in first post).
 
witcher reason you stopped playing arma 3 is cause its **** ! :p

other day i checked for a laugh 3000 people on peak time :p such a success !

also even if stuff if ported from arma 2 mod which is broken :D rocket gets to say what is allowed or not.

so will he let modders steal his limelight or you think hell make standalone better ? :) they are currently offering a prize of 500,000 euros for the best new mod for arma 3 why ? beucase its bombing and they need to get people to play it.

so go have fun on arma 3 ill stick to standalone with a proper dayz version :p

Figures bother me not, reason players have probs dropped is all the CoD BF lads have gone to play BF4 not to mention all the Steam sales and people playing SA to try it out. Which can only be a good thing that the CoD and BF lads have gone, I am pretty sure BI had something to do with the zoombies mod being shutdown but I am not 100% and can't be bothered to google :)

No idea what day you were looking at, but in the past week the lowest I have seen A3 is at peak 6500 players.

I Have only played this twice and never seem to find any people nor zombies nor items lol seems like pointless running around, Ill pop of the OCUK zerver tonight as well as TS and hope its abit more interesting.
 
i give up...kill some one at the NW airstrip (sorry if it was one of you lot) just about to loot the body and i get shot at so run for my life as im already hurt from earlier screens blurry as hell climb up on top of the firstation to scout the airfield, go to climb back down and i fly off the roof :( took me ages get the the airstrip
 
if you know the map head to balota or flats above balota chern and elektro also a lot like camping up NW airfield for the loot .

whoever the big group is watch yourself later :D

+1 ^^ i died a lot down near balota theres always someone around just make sure you scout the area first. i ventured up to the NW airbase, maybe it was that group DG mentioned that i ran into

Design: Player corpses should no longer despawn upon disconnect
Server: Respawning should now function properly - in some cases you may have to wait a few seconds. (during high death/respawn times)
