does loot and zombies respawn now? or still the same?

As far as we know, it's still the same. The server has to restart to spawn new loot/zombies.

This patch is only "Experimental", so don't expect many servers to be running it until it goes into "Stable" on Friday next week (24th).

for £20 I'm thinking I'llprob get more out of this than I have Arma 3 - which I've probably sunk only around 3 quite bored hours

I'm surprised that they reduced the dispersion for the pistol but left the M4, which has been proven to be literally 1000x more inaccurate than its A2 counterpart, as it is...

I have been playing Standalone for a few weeks now and finding myself being a lone ranger, can get pretty boring!

Any teams out there looking for a plus 1?

Also just got that humble bundle deal so will have the DayZ mod game too once installed.

There's a lot of nice new items there - but the thing is... 99% of them are useless against the weapons/items already ingame.

Makeshift backpack?
Shotgun?
etc

Night vision will be useful though...

would it be a wrong assumption to think as anewbie to Dayz - the standalone maybe a better bet to learn in - then progress to the Mod ? (for mean time ?)

just from videos I've seen the standalone seems more simple to get into - whilst its still relatively feature light ?

the SA is harder to survive than the mod. mod there is more items about . in the standalone you need to survive. this is the whole point to the standalone and to make it more of a survival game and not just zombies in a arma setting which is what lot don't get.

mmm to be honest with the mod (when I can get it to work !) - the Zombies are causing me the most grief - they're doing my head in - I know there aren't really enough in SA - but in Mod there are almost too many

yeah because is SA the total number of zombies hasn't been added yet. they can have upto 4000 in SA. you cant have that in the mod !

as said before the first thing sa needs is 100 percent stability. then they will tweak loot respawning and zombies. current number is only 700 in SA that will soon rise .
