Epoch mod is great, its just boring if your on your own, which is what i end up being 90% of the time.

Also the buildings that you can make generally looked hashed together mess, which is a shame. I just wish Epoch and Origins banded together, so we could place actual buildings and the Epoch stuff.

Couple of pages back Dg posted some patch notes, quite a bit was added last night.
 
getting so tiring even responding to idiots in this thread same people over and over just repeating same drivel about games not related to this thread just to get a rise. its not even trolling its just retarded.

if i do this i get a week week suspension yet the same people have been doing this **** for last ten or twenty pgs in here.dons read this thread ten pgs back then see how many respond with same **** !

why ?

they either have arma 3 servers !
they have dayz mod servers !
they don't like the standalone !

how about just don't post in here go play and post in relevant thread.

not mad about it just give it a rest okay you don't like it good for you but others do like it stop ruining the thread cause you don't or want your servers to stay busy on a unrelated game :rolleyes:

the worst thing is these very people when standalone is more advanced will see how good it is and then come play it .
 
Since I never played the original DayZ mod (well, not for long anyway) i decided just to jump into the standalone.

So far I haven't been able to 'get into it' - but I have only played for 2 hours, and I am playing alone.
The world looks wonderful, but feels empty - all the houses look exactly the same. The menu and controls are also very clunky.

I'm hoping that the more I play, the more I will get used to it. Because I want to enjoy this game.
 
Just keep playing m8 you will get the hang of it. Houses do look the same but that is cherno for you. They are adding new buildings etc. Once the game is more complete Dean said they will be adding more maps, maps that will look like a real zombie outbreak has happened. They only released SA with Cherno because Cherno was the map that made DayZ so it seemed right to release SA with that very map.

yeah keep playing. such a good game. i think it helps tremendously playing in a group so try and join some folks.

clunkyness, bugs & glitches is all part of the process. its an alpha and will improve with time.
