this is now ingame. if you get a transmitter i think you can put one in say elektro and say hide sniper hill trolls galore coming !

I just started playing DayZ a couple days ago and noticed in the first post that OcUK has a server but it says it's no longer available. Has anyone got the server info or a server where people from here go?

oh my how i just laughed. im at the new town above behrinzo and i spot a guy fully geared i had a axe and that's it. ran up clobbered him he was screaming noooooo

dg now has shotgun, mosin backpack magnum

but even when jumping from server to server - everywhere in vicinty - all doors open, all cupboads open and obviously all bare

how can you tell how long a server has been running ?

no i was going to tell him where to look for food.

i wouldn't axe him as i have a magnum shotgun and a mosin with scope anyway

Havent been on for a few weeks last time i was on it was when they just added the magnum.

Have they added anything major to the game? or isit still pretty much the same as when i was last on?

its in very shortly. you'll be able to hunt deer soon the models done i don't think the animation is though. you'll be using a bow to hunt . foraging for berries and other items will also be in soon. so you can live off the land.

I'm new to the Dayz game, loving what they have done so far. Do you have a link to what the final game is going to have.

They have no road map atm so no one knows what will be in the final game.

I've had it like this from teh start. Doesn't change a thing as the Mouse acceleration is built into the core. Your not just going to remove it by editing 2 files in notepad. That could have been done on day one witha hotfix else.

It helps a little I think but I still get crazy acceleration. One thing Deans been a bit of a dick on has he did say to Frankie last year it would be fixed for alpha.

Now hes saying the way in which it works will have to be totally recoded. Of course though DG's just edited two .cfg files and fixed the issue.

I like the idea of hunting for meat, I guess it'd be exciting if they make it difficult, but picking berries? What the hell? Has he forgot its a video game?

Another thing; some of you guys write on here about how it 'only' takes a couple of hours to get a gun, and then go on to say how good it is.

I just can't get where Hall is going with this, making it more tedious should worsen the game, no?

The berries is a little weird imo... I don't disagree that having hunting/gathering for food is a good thing to have for the survival aspect of it all... but really if it's supposed to be relatively realistic how much sustenance can a grown man (or woman) really get from eating raw berries? I imagine you'd have to gather a crazy amount of them just to equal a tin of beans

Spills comment above is the sort of thing that makes me worry a bit about whether Dean is in over his head... Was it just miscommunication or does he actually not know what he's doing? It also sounds like another fundamental core part of the engine that was part of the justification for making a standalone version; I'd be really interested to know at what point they decided to just attempt to re-bodge it into Arma II again instead
