***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

Server restarts are approx every 3 hours so unless you're sitting in one place and don't move, then there's usually enough loot to find across the map within that time zone.

Although, there are still lots of people switching across servers after they've picked their fave place clean, then looking for servers with 8:00AM time on them as they'll have just restarted.
 
not all are ghost towns :D not on busy servers. :)

just logged in near behrinzo seen two guys with guns epic fight i had only axe i knocked one out then the other knocked me out unconscious. he began looting the guy with the new rifle i then woke up (must have thought i was dead :D) then axed him and the other guy who was still unconscious :p.

I'm aware of that :p But Berezino is one of the towns you could go to on a server with 10 or less players and still bump into someone :D
 
There's definitely some issue that's been introduced since the last hotfix today as at times the lag is unreal.

It's being tracked by the Devs but they are having a hard time reproducing it, but it's affected our server & every other server I've tried tonight which is a pain in the butt.
 
It can be a bit boring in its current state, stopped playing at the moment until there's more zombies and some of the bugs are sorted.
 
There definitely seems to be some sort of freezing going on server side. Both me and my mate were getting screen freezes lasting a second or 2 on several different servers, both experienced at the same time.
 
this game is just plain full of *****. Twice now ive spawned in front of someone put my gun away and said i surrender, get shot.

Respawn and a fully kitted guy meets me, ive got nothing, so hold my hands up and say hello, get mosin'd in the face.

Literally cant get out of berezino unless i pick an empty server and hop to get gear, its almost pointless

Bugged items.
Check your inventory, if you have any items that are missing textures or the textures are flashing, dump them and move away from the area. The same for if anyone you are with has any. If you are in about a 50m - 100m radius of bugged loot or someone with bugged loot the game starts to freeze up.

I found I had some bugged cans of drink in my yellow box, game was almost down to 5fps. I dumped them and ran, stutter went away. This has been confirmed on DayZ forums also.

The issue, that I've found, is that you can't a lot of people playing DayZ. I've tried to be friendly way too many times only for people to go nuts and attack me, so it's shoot if they have a gun drawn for my and my friends who also play.
