***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

We really need to speak to Dg as I understand him and Rocket are really close friends, even though Rocket gave DG the wrong release date and he was not online for a good 5 hours after it got released but:

Looks like he has finally gone and started his own game company to make another MMO. From what I understand it is called Everest, the basic idea is you climb to the top collecting hats while trying to stay alive. Good news if he has finally gone though so the game can get a proper lead dev and move in the right direction. Soon as this joke of a guy left the mod on A2 to other people the mod became pretty much amazing. Although I thought he was staying till DayZ hit beta?

i love Dayz, even with the shoddy FPS, it's just the hacks that wreck it, we did some research and the best way to avoid it is to use a private hive server with a white list (sign up on a forum)

infact i don't really care much about most hacks or dups, its invisible people with clipping enabled that wreck the buzz!

I still really enjoy it, I have tried out a few different mods for Arma 2 and 3. And I find everything is too clean and doesn't create the same atmosphere as DayZ. Life once I have a decent enough loot, I am genuinely scared to go in to towns.

but what do you do though? i find the only challenge in the game is to face another Player?
 
Survive!

Not even sure if you can die from getting cold and wet yet, but I found myself in desperation the other day looking for matches and wood to make a fire.

I don't really get online enough to run around in a squad. The last few times I have been on I have rarely seen any players, and been in quite populated servers too. I tend to head inland and hit the smaller towns, more so recently to try and find a vehicle.

You guys have let the apocalypse change you! ;)

Do you stick to the same servers? Any recommendations that have less Russians?

Add me on steam (see sig) don't get on too much but would be good to dabble in a bit of banditry...that didn't sound gay the first time I said it.
 
made a fire last night. felt cave man like. made it in a house.

also got annoyed when running from 6 zombies and trying to reload my weapon that it was ruined because i got so wet.

also ive got a broken arm. how does one fix that?
