***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

So it appeared it didn't install the client update, and there is no way of forcing it to update, so i have deleted it and am re-downloading it (hopefully with update), fortunatly it is downloading at 6MB/s so shouldn't take too long!
 
Spent a decent amount of time playing this earlier, heading north and looking for supplies. Found some pretty decent gear(although no guns) but I'm dying of thirst now so I think I'll have to respawn soon.

Might try and pair up with others for my next life, whats the TS details?
 
Is anyone else just getting "wait for host" when trying to join a server?

I have been trying for the last hour and have not been able to join any server. :(

Actually if you read the thread you will find that crossfire does actually work - there is no profile in Catalyst for DayZ standalone so you will need to follow the steps I posted earlier -

Yup, I managed to get into a server by waiting for a long time but the server went down not long after.

Got bored of waiting so I've loaded the map in Arma 3 and fly about for a bit to see whats different.
 
Should hopefully be online tomorrow evening and Saturday for some axe massacres in Elektro / Cherno...

Hopefully Neil79 will run into my blade again LOL

Must find where you guys are getting all these M4s from ;)
 
I must say.....i played this for 2 hours yesterday and enjoyed it. Even with the obvious bugs etc. The new inventory system is a huge improvement over the arma 2 setup.

Based on what i've seen the game will be sweeeet once it comes out the other end of beta I think
