***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

Probably just me then. I am glad you can play in those cities but others have complained about dropping GPU usage within major cities... and even smaller ones. Now that almost every building is enterable and therefore contains loot, it does make it harder for systems to cope. I guess with high spec systems with CF/SLI, the drop in usage doesn't cause as much of an issue.

But you have to admit, GPU usage dropping when you need it most is bloomin' stupid? No?

What is your system, Marker, btw?

After last night's combatlog+kill on me, I have put DAYZ to one side. I almost put my fist through my screen lol

I5 @ 4.4, 7950 at standard with Dayz on an SSD.. Nothing major mate!

I do suppose the 4.4 will help though, if needed I can go over 5 with this chip and keep it cool enough with a low enough voltage..

It is pretty simple to avoid the deathmatch people, remove yourself from the coast!!! there's so much land out there and you generally meet a better type of player.

I've been killed once in 8hours and had a 4 friendly meetings, normally if I see someone before they see me I hide up and watch them pass, not every contact must result in death for someone.

I don't understand the Balota love, people last no time at all, there is no survival, but doesn't effect me and keeps em by the coast causing me no harm.

Can't wait for more and more survival features to be implemented.

It doesn't help with streamers like psisyndicate just punching/hitting everyone on sight then if they attack back he ends up screaming stop lets be friends, just pathetic as there's thousands of people watch him and they end up doing the same.

You can play the game how you like and all that jazz but you're just ruining it for yourself and others until you eventually get bored of the bean wars on the coast.

Cannot agree more Hank, been in game for 21 hours, onto 3rd character which has been alive for 10. Other two were killed by falling off ladders :(

I have I5 @ 3.80GHz and HD7850, I dont even have mine installed on my SSD

Me and Marker have AMD cards could it be that?

Not super systems but not bad. Must be my crappy system then. I have a Pentium 4, 800MHz ;)

I wish I could trust people like that. But I see your point about Balota. Avoid that place tbh

only reason ive died is because i ate my own rotten banana :D

badboy team up with me im friendly .

Everyone I've bumped into so far is hostile. And I normally get shot in the back. Found a nice vest to put my weapons and supplies in and get shot in the back by some little ****. I was half dead anyway and could barely see from blood loss but besides the point lol. They should reintroduce something like the bandit system, and demote players in some way for killing others that haven't engaged them yet.

Was quite satisfying the other night though having been shot by this pair who were fairly well armed, to run screaming up the firestation tower bloodied and dying in a yellow raincoat with a fire axe hacking them both to death. Think I killed one but they disconnected...

Those that are getting large fps drops in cities please post all your graphic options. The 2 main things that kill this engine in cities are object detail and AA.

The clouds only seem to cause stuttering for people regardless where they are. I see next to no fps change in cities when changing cloud detail.

can you write on the paper with the pens? anyone tried this? I only thought about it after i left the town and i couldn't be bothered going back.

marker dunno whats going with your server since restart not long ago but epic fps lags every few seconds a lot seem to be timing out aswell. seen a few russains on hopefully not a script fest .

I've had a couple of meetings - one in a house near cherno and one at the fire station in elektro. Both were friendly and no one died :)

The house near cherno was funny - I didn't see anyone had a look around the house and went upstairs then hear someone reloading a gun so crap myself.

Sit in the room for a good 5-10 minutes waiting to hack the first person to walk through the door and then decide to go downstairs and try and make a run for it lol

Guy is sitting in the kitchen watching the door and says "drop your weapon" so I just stick my hands up and he says "cool - i will leave now - bye" :)

I then made a mad dash into cherno checking behind me that I hadn't been followed lol

Think I am still on same character now...

Few of us will be on later including a couple of noobs so please don't shoot / hack them to death otherwise they will probably just quit and play BF4.

This is the problem with the trolls at Balota - they are probably ruining peoples first experiences of DayZ and turning away potential new players by just being rude and childish.

Someone answer me this please.

I have never played any other MMO, so a question to anyone who has platyed any other. Are there normally so many trolls playing other MMOs out there, or are they all within DayZ?
