***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

LOL, old Rocket there hasn't half made a lot of change from the mod in all the time he;'s been head of the SA project. A new compass skin, a different inventory and a few other cosmetics. The wool has been well and truly pulled over the eyes of BI.

It looked boring and nowhere near as scary as the the mod. Massive flop I predict.

Has he clearly says in his videos he is. How dare he lie about being part of the standalone test team.
Unless I have my wires crossed he seems to be saying in his last couple of videos that he is. Maybe hes friends with the dev's and there giving him info. He was saying half the stuff on the MGT Server defiantly isn't in standalone.

How does he know this ?

he might of had a play or access to a build but he isnt a tester. this has been confirmed on the forums by many people.

whether rocket has told him info or he asked for a statement and he told him info then whatever but he isnt a tester. no big youtubers are. all the testers are mainly people off the official forums who have contributed a lot to the game and picked to play it.
 
Yeah Arma 3 breaking point is looking good in its early stages

But naturally a lot more poeple will play SA mainly because of the hardware requirements.
 
The "interviewer" is Sacriel & Shannon is there too I think. Did he just confirm release for Monday? A friend just told me he did, might be trolololing.

truthfully, i'm quite disappointed, game looks to be still in a terrible state even for a pre Alpha, i hope i'm wrong but i think they've missed the boat on this one.
 
for 'pre alpha' it would be fine..

if this was still 2012.... development progress seems like they haven't a clue with what they are doing or trying to achieve.
 
have to agree watching the stream and i dunno i just dont see the return for the time investment so far.

Granted there may be lots of details which are not apparent, but what im watching just isnt crying out to me to be excited for the release
 
It seems like Rocket has spent a lot of time implementing the little ideas he had and has forgot some of the overall scale. Melee looks awful, I saw him hit a zombie 12 times with a bat to the head and it only died when the guy next to him axed it.

I've been a big supporter of the development of SA but this really doesn't look impressive.
Yes I know its Alpha, maybe I was expecting too much.
 
I'm sorry but Rocket was more interested in CK2. Everything he did he said "hope this works". i know this is a still in dev and will be a alpha release but he seems to have not been around much because he didn't know if things had been fixed. Arma 2 + Dayz Mod will live on forever :P
