***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

The best times for me were setting up 5 man ambushes. One to cover our rear, and then 4 in a pincer movement, on a road that bends (theres an S bend near Vybor which is great for this). I remember we hit 3 ural/v3s' at the same time, and I had an M60, which is pretty much a laser gun when prone. Ended up mullering their whole 12 man team and getting a ton of weapons in the process.
 
The FAL was my favourite, used to always have a night vision one in the back of my UAZ for midnight heli crash raids.

We stole two off-roaders once at a heli crash, that was funny. Poor guys didn't leave anyone on watch and didn't know we were laying in the same treeline with night vision.

There's no shortage of players from here that'd involve you in their group I'm sure.

I'm not part of a group, I just tend to pester others if I can tag along, but then again I work nights and usually only start player after 3AM.

So as everyone I know with fast internet is playing BF4, with the exception of one who started his download over 24 hours ago and is still on 90% + Premium content + Patch, I decided to go and play Overwatch on my own. Chose one of the most packed UK servers, to find admin raping everyone in Elektro, so I stalked and put a full mag of AKM into the back of his head, only for him to turn around and one shot me. I died, he didn't, so I went back and the same happened only with my MK48 MOD. I guess they were hackers...typical when all I wanted was a laid back fragfest!

do u know any recommended system requirements for the standalone?
A good CPU. more than dual-core is probably a waste but CPU speed is most important

Any chance you can ask Matt if this means the game is single threaded ? And going from a standard quad core to a quad core that can run 8 threads isn't going to improve performance.

sounds like A.I to me the a.i can be very unforgiving and one shot you instantly in the head

same happened to me last night on overwatch in that city/camp right up north almost off the map i thought i was observing a team of players but they were a.i
I killed one with a dmr and he still shot me in the head a split second afterwards it's a.i

for me arma II and all it's mods is so much more fun than battlefield 4 etc which I think has practically turned in to battlecod
I took a break from arma II and now back playing overwatch and its as fun as ever especially the servers that allow you to build a bike or gyrocopter
