If I recall correctly, LOMAC did not have this feature either.

It is good to know they plan to move in this direction though.

I swear, you do more PR than their own PR department, Nate. Actually, do they even have one? :p

You're right, Lomac didn't have it, but the GUI and the Game engine were integrated such that it would have been feasible. Currently it isn't possible in DCS, until the GUI is merged back into the main program.

PR? ED? Sometimes seems as if it's an alien concept to them :) The other Developers for DCS seem to be much more forthcoming with info.

while my interest is gradually waning from the excitement when DCS A10 first came out (just no new content that I'd find interesting tbh) - and I'm not convinced by the direction they are going - I think some of the negative comments are a bit over the top

I understand the frustrations some have with ED and agree with most of them but I dont think its really fair to speak to Nate in that manner whatever his affiliations are with ED
Its not like the guy comes in here and shoves new products down peoples throats, all the posts of his I have seen have been helpful and informative

The place for some of these comments is the ED forums followed by a stint of banging your head on a brick wall :)

1.2.4 ... more work required sadly, it ignores the setting for heat blur and has it
on if you want it on or not

First flight in the Huey was fun .... landing wasn't :)

You actually managed to land it, I'm impressed. Better than I did on my first go.

I'll suggest setting up curves on the input axis, make subtle control a lot easier.

The hardest bit of landing for me is pushing through where the rotor becomes less effective, while keeping some airspeed up so I don't enter VRS but at the same time keeping the airspeed down enough so I don't get some translational lift and I'm back at square one. :D

Might have a play about with curves, but I try to keep everything as default as possible.

The Huey certainly does a good job of making the Black Shark look very, very easy to fly.

Edit: Noticed the curves were set at 30 by default, will try them at 0.

I have a DCS:A-10c key on steam, so I'm downloading DCS world and the A-10c module. Are there any other modules I can download for free or is it all included in the DCS world download?

Also, does anyone know if I can use an Xbox 360 controller with this game? Its the only controller I have, and flying anything with a Kb/M is a pain.

You can only fly the modules you have purchased, but the su-25 is free and included in world.

Yes you can use a xbox360 controller, knew someone who flew a10 with it.
However, you'll rely on a lot of keyboard binds and clicking!

Fair enough, I also have Black Shark 1 but apparently I need to buy an upgrade to use it with DCS:World (Seems a bit unfair). Also had a look at the modules on their website but they seem a little expensive for essentially single aircraft DLC.

Not a problem for me, and I'd have the same problem with a proper flight stick anyway.
