DDR5 is here, first kits on sale in July

Just secured a Gskill 32GB DDR5 5600Mhz C36 kit from the UK, will see what they clock to.

Wanted to hold out for a 6400Mhz+ kit, though have to jump on whatever is available in this climate.

Will be easy to sell on my 16GB Crucial 4800Mhz kit with the current stock situation, I'll see what they get up to on the bay :p

DDR5 stock is coming back in 2022.

I've had this arrive today:

2 x Kingston Fury Beast KF552C40BB-16 16GB DDR5 5200Mhz Non ECC DIMM, paid £295.99, although I would prefer some of the faster Trident stuff!

Nice. Did you try 6400, 6600Mhz? Not tried past 6000Mhz c36 yet.

Nope, I just wanted something that stable for gaming. I have the Apex for bench stuff and my other 6000C40 kit should arrive on Monday.

It's taken me a while to get the memory dialled in as Samsung memory has a lot of quirks at the moment. The XMP on the 6000 mostly doesn't work out the box but they are making good progress but it's new, so that's a little bit expected. I can probably refine the secondary a little more as they have some headroom, along with tertiary tweaks.

What probably doesn't help is I have a bit of a lemon 12900K SP83 (P91-E69), so hunting for a better one but that's fine for gaming.

Fair enough. Let us know how you get on and what speeds you can get stable out of the 6000kit.

I did 12 hours overnight testing 6000Mhz C36 @ 1.3v on my 5600Mhz kit with Kahru, 100% stable, so will try 6400 later once I run a few errands :)

@random_matt I've briefly tried to oc the ram and gave up lol I don't normally oc so that's why.

It can also be noted that the A-Data RAM is SpecTec IC's which is a division of Micron, and I understand the Micron IC's don't oc too well.

I'm expecting my G.Skill 6000 kit soon and those should be more oc'able

This RAM is running well @5200 C38 which is the XMP profile speed, without complaint it should be said.
