Dead Space 2 .

Not a chance, if the next one (DS3) is two years away, which is likely then it will be on this generation of console. No one even has a next gen console to make a game for and a I doubt they will hold off for 3 or 4 years on another.
 
I liked the last few levels, stressful as I had one bar of health, 3 plasma cutter shots, no stasis and no med packs while I had to get past 6 or so Necros but they were still decent I thought.

I particularly enjoyed the part in the EarthGov sector.
 
Only on chapter 5 so far, but really enjoying it! Bloody stalkers had me in fear lol. Gf shouted at me "if you scream like a girl once more, that game is going in the bin" lol.

The stalkers are not hard to kill but they fill me full of panic. I like Laying detonators down and watching them run into them.

Just hit level 7 on zealot in 3 hours. That will do for today.

Rob not sure how you got on with the pulse tifle on zealot. It eats too much ammo for my liking. It was excellent against the first brute. Two bursts of stasis and I took it's arms off very quickly. Other than that I find it uses ammo too fast :(

Quite like the contact beam but at 4k per 2 shots way too expensive.

So for me I think it will be Plasma, Seeker, Detonator and force gun. Maybe line gun see how I get on. :)
 
I used the pulse rifle as a last resort when running low on ammo to be fair or for those crawling things. The alt fire is good on it though.

The line gun is a must.
 
The pulse rifle is one of the weapons you can finish the game with. If you have no other weapons, every ammo drop will be pulse rounds.
 
Platinum trophy done. Hardcore was loads of fun, if not a little frustrating when you get sucked out a window after 3 chapters and have to start again :p

Good effort, you have more patince that me. I'd have had a go if you could new game + but no chance on restart :D.

I've seen people online get 10 chapters in and completely run out of ammo and money. That would be me :D

That's what happened to me on the first game. About half way in with a room full of monsters, no ammo or money :(
 
Pretty disappointed with this so far (about chapter 6 I think). Pretty repetitive gameplay throughout and the action sequences, although fun to watch, never seem to be more than 'shoot the yellow bits of the monster'...or die.

Story isn't much cop either. SLIGHT SPOILER HERE: First few hours spent playing led up to an non-event - that woman I mean.

It's pretty creepy in places and I've jumped once or twice but I feel that, just like the first, I'm not going to be bothered completing this one.

On chapter 11 on zealot and with maxed weapons so far only one or two spots have required a reload.

Seeker is very under rated. Maxed out it takes the arm off a stasis'd brute in one shot.

Seeker is amazing, I haven't found anything it hasn't killed in 2 shots.

As you say even the brute. *BAM* one arm gone. *BAM* other arm gone... stroll away in slow-motion. :cool:

I've got a ton of Seeker ammo saved up for the latter half of Zealot. Haven't played id a few days, been too busy on Minecraft :o
 
Just finished this on Zealot but not sure I can be bothered to try it on Hardcore.. Seems like it would take too much effort tbh.. I'd loose my sanity lol

Looking forward to the dlc.. Any rumoured release dates?
 
Only just got through chapter 13 on zealot, left a store with max ammo and got to the next one with about 10 shots remaining.

Coming up to the section I've been dreading, the bloody regens again :(

Why?

It's still exactly the same game and nothing different happens. Why would that level offer anything different to the other levels apart from nostalgia that you are back on the ship?

Just finished zealot, one achieve to get for 30 kensis kills and it can go back to lovefilm :)
