Well, its official , Deadpool is a 15 in the uk. Had hoped it would be an 18 film.

15 is a good point imo. 18 will result in not too many people going to watch it, since it removes a lot of viewers and family trips etc. 15 opens the barrier to a lot more people while still retaining a lot of deadpools language and humour.

Meh, I'm still going to see it but will be disappointed if they cut out all the OTT stuff to make it family friendly.

Edit: apparently 15 here is the same as American R rating, so that's a decent bit of news. Also in America, so presumably uk, they will be releasing a directors cut in the second half of the year which will be even more OTT than the cinema release.

You can get away with quite a lot with a 15 here, especially if there are little to no nudity and mostly violence and "funny" violence at that. And these days, compared to say 30 years ago changes too. Alien/Aliens would probably be a 15 if it was released today.
