Decent game controller?

I've had the Cyclone 2 for a week now and found it to be surprisingly nice to use as an alternative to the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro that I got last year.

The Vader is still the better controller imo though with the extra face buttons and adjustable tension on the sticks, but is that really worth the extra cost? No, if buying just one the Cyclone would be my choice.

That being said, both are being used while the my Xbox Elite Series 1 and 2 sit in my drawer of shame, only considered as emergency backups now due to their heaviness and unreliable inputs.

I've had my Cyclone 2 for a couple of weeks and really like it. It feels great in the hand and is very responsive. I wasn't sure about the slightly clicky buttons to begin with, but find them much better than the Xbox pad ones, especially for the likes of SF6 and Tekken 8.

I only use my Elite 2 for Forza Horizon 5 because of the trigger feedback, and I hate the membrane buttons on that now.

The Cyclone 2 clickys are so much better.

Can anyone recommend a controller (for use on windows 11 pc) suitable for someone with large hands please? Playstation size controllers hurt my hands as they are far too small and arthritis doesn't help either. I would prefer wired or a wireless one that can be used wired.

I've found the Gulikit KK3 Max more comfortable than the Cyclone 2 - albeit slightly heavier. It seems to sit in the hand more naturally and the palm areas have more girth...

...fnarr-fnarr, etc.

I ended up going for the Gamesir Cyclone 2 Pro after having a look at MRK's review and all the good feedback on here. I paid £34.79 from the UK Geeky place and the code still works. I thought that was a cracking price seeing as it comes with the charging stand as well. If I can't get on with it I will sell it on and try something else. I nearly went for the Tarantula but after getting a PS4 dual shock controller out of the cupboard remembered why I can't get on with it. For me the sticks are too close together and the top rear buttons (L1+R1?) just don't sit naturally in my fingers and I have to change my grip to reach them which makes the sticks awkward to use then. Damn having large hands!!

Excellent choice - for the price, it's really hard to beat.

I'm using the Tarantula Pro for everything, mainly because I make extensive use of the extra buttons that are remapped to keyboard buttons for Nvidia App and RTSS. Using it extensively currently thanks to GTA 5 Enhanced and also playing Rivals of Aether II at the weekends oh and the HD haptic feedback.

I think you'll get on fine with it (hopefully).

My Cyclone 2 controller finally arrived today, it is quite a good quality controller for the money and I like the triggers. Accuracy of the analog sticks is similar to the DualSense, but they didn't feel quite as responsive in a game of MW3 so the higher stick latency is noticeable. I'm tempted to order the BigBigWon Blitz 2 (TMR), according to gamepadla it has very similar stick latency to an overclocked DualSense and a 2000Hz polling rate.

Looking at getting my brother a pad for his birthday, hes still using an ancient Xbox 360 pad. I was looking at getting him a GameSir G7 Se like I use. Anything better these days for similar price point. Dont really want to spend more than say £45 as hes not as massive gamer. But could do with replacing his old pad.

Same here, will be setting it up with my downstairs lappy, time to get some aimchair gaming on my OLED HDR telly.
Make sure you use the 2.4Ghz dongle and set the polling to 1000hz (in the Gamesir app). Press & hold Home + X (so it flashes green) to connect - took me a moment to realise this.
I was connecting to Bluetooth (Home + B, flashing Blue) which doesn't have the same reach & speed as 2.4.

Latency with the 2.4Ghz dongle is very poor with the Cyclone 2 so if you care about performance then just use a cable. In my test with a 240fps camera the analog stick latency was 6 frames (25ms) with a cable and 10 frames (41.6ms) with the 2.4Ghz dongle. It's not the most accurate test as my monitor is only 144Hz but it gives you a general idea.
