Decent game controller?

The G7 Pro wins in every area other than dpad, I might even go as far to say it beats Nintendo dpads, and I've always praised those as being the benchmark on how a dpad should feel.

It's missing stuff the G7 has though, no back buttons, no microswitch hair trigger mode, there is lockout switch but it's a digital lockout and not mechanical, and the membrane ABXY buttons require a bit more pressure than GameSir buttons, though this is an EasySMX trait so not anything out of the norm.

The sticks have no filtering so debounce from edge to centre is perfect.

If they fix the hair trigger detection with an update then it's great at ~£30 for someone looking for a controller that offers the core basics and doesn't care about the extra customisations I reckon.
G7 Pro vs. the Hexgaming controller?

I'm still using my Dualsense Edge at the minute on PC but very tempted by the Pro, it's 89.99 at Argos at the minute!

That's a harder comparison as both are different types of controller, but I do find the hexgaming sticks to feel more natural, its stick curve is calibrated from factory to feel a certain way for both hall effect and potentiometer versions. I use both for whichever feels better in any given game, but always use the hex in games with native dualsense support.

G7 Pro has its convenience with the extra buttons as can game record, screenshot etc from those buttons whereas have to reach over to the keyboard with the other controllers. The rumble/haptics on dualsense is nicer than other controllers too so for improved immersion I do prefer that.

Cheers, appreciate that.
