Declining attitude to law and order

Riots. Flag burning, violence, attacking police? Yep, they were riots.

Yes, hundreds..

More than 35 were injured over one weekend so if you believe that 27 total then you're just kidding yourself.

Also BBC reported "the officer *knocked herself* off her horse, it bolted into the crowd...'

They've received complaints since so they've probably edited it.

Got a source for the hundreds injured at BLM protest then?

Fair enough on the BBC report (linked above), although I wouldn't say it was edited because they received complaints. Poor wording and a lack of information at the time.

I think it is, considerably so. Those that argued otherwise need to take a big break from the internet.
I am absolutely delighted that you and @The Running Man have managed to unearth irrefutable evidence that racism doesn't exist in either the USA or the UK; this will be of great reassurance to all people of colour in those countries.

Perhaps you can go on to correct all suggestions of discrimination around the world next?

No one said racism doesnt exist.

I'm merely pointing out that to the examples of George Floyd or Rayshard as being specific acts that only occur due to racism is a fallacy.

There is no proof that either act was a racist transgression yet BLM and Janeysb state that they are, as though fact.

My point was if you take the standpoint that it's a race crime because the 'perpetrator' was white and the victim black, then you have to apply the same standards to the case where a black man stalked a white woman and stabbed her 7 times in the face.

Or in the case where a black guy offers to walk home a white girl and then ends up raping her, murdering her and hiding the body.

In both instances, both perpetrators have a history of similar attacks against (white) women.

Yet these crimes are not decried as racist or sexist attacks. There is probably more evidence to suggest that they were racist/sexist attacks but the media narrative won't allow this.

but let's all take a knee anyway right? I hope that those who do are thinking about Tony Timpa and remember that all lives really matter. And that we should not jump to conclusions when we see police act in a certain way, just because we are told to. The police have a tough job, sure some of them are douschbags but they are probably dealing with career criminals resisting arrest, like we have seen on TV, every day.

The Daily Mail have the full 30 minute bodycam footage from the George Floyd arrest and boy, is it revealing.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ds-harrowing-final-moments-brutal-arrest.html

Floyd constantly fails to comply with police instructions, frequently resists arrest and is clearly on drugs and lies about it.

Tucker Carlson also has a short analysis of it and gives some detail:
Floyd had more than enough fentanyl in his body to die of an overdose, and showed classic signs of fentanyl toxicity - "one of the best known symptoms of fentanyl overdose is shortness of breath" which Floyd complains of when the officers try and put him in the back of a squad car. All the time he is physically struggling and resisting the officers, which is undoubtedly making his breathing worse and accelerating the arrival of a fatal heart attack.

I can honestly see Chauvin walking free from this.

Let's hope not, it would be terrible to see a murderer walk free because his victim was a lesser criminal.

Think you will find people of colour are just as racist as everyone else.
Racism exists but let's not pretend it's a white only problem and that's it,black people hating on Asian people,Asian people hating on Roma Slovak etc etc .
Sure people live in utopian bubbles

Well yeah the reason they had to call for backup was that he was resisting arrest.

Then he did it again.

He said he couldnt sit in the police car because he was claustrophobic , yet when the police arrived they found him in his own car. So was he Claustrophobic or just determined not to go back to prison?

No, only individual weekends. I did see this posted numerous time on social media weeks ago with an actual total but trying to find that now is surprisingly difficult, it was 200+ though.

. . .
Well at last we have something on which we can agree, that has to be a positive development :)

. . .
Tucker Carlson also has a short analysis . . .
I had no idea who Carlson was so looked him up; the fact that he works for Fox Lies rang warning bells and a minor amount of research confirms that he is a paid apologist for right-wing racists.

Think you will find people of colour are just as racist as everyone else. . . .
I am sure that you will find racists and tribalists in any group - so far as I am concerned that bit of whataboutery doesn't make it right, you may find it inevitable and acceptable?

Why not just call them 'people' must we label everything a colour?
Because colour is of significance in any discussion concerning racial discrimination where colour is a factor
