Defense Grid

That level shown has been playable for a while. I think the expansion pack is being released tomorrow?

I loaded this up for the first time in about 9 months and there are loads of new game modes added... been addicted all over again this past few days!

Only problem with the game is there's no reason to really try hard with any of the levels. The leaderboards are meaningless due to the cheating (why would you bother?) and the gold medals are far too easy to get, even first attempt. They should add a platinum medal or similar.

Just gonna hold on a couple of weeks - would not be surprised if it was reduced in the Chrimbo sale. /tight git
 
Aye think I'll hold off till its on offer. Should see at least 25% off during the xmas sales. Until then I have Trine 2 to play through still, Skyrim once it arrives (saw it for £20 and caved) and Terraria if I haven't burned myself out on it yet. Plus KF is having another xmas event.

Sounds pretty good though.

Aye: some tricky challenges [with a few twists], and I've not played all the way through yet, but it's more DG maps - what more info/incentive do you need? :D

PS: Who on here is "gazg_21"? The blighter is *always* scoring a few points more than me :( :D

Buy it, it's easily worth £4. The new maps are a lot harder than the older one's and offer a good challenge as GLaDOS always has a few tricks up her sleeve.

That's me mate :) As the leaderboards are broken with all the cheat scores I only gauge myself against OcUK steam players I added from the beginning of this thread. There's yourself and StrangeFLY who seem to play regular and post good scores.

Anyone else on here want to add their steam ID to add a bit of a challenge?

To be fair even if it gets a nice 25% off in xmas sales, that's a whopping £1.00 off

Little gems like this are few and far between, there are literally hundreds of hours of gameplay there, the full pack is 6 quid. It's a no brainer.

This isn't aimed at anyone, but you do have to wonder why games companies release rip-off after rip-off, endless cash-ins, etc. This is a good example. You can't really release a game with more re-playability and more hours of gametime than something like this. You can't possibly release it any cheaper than this game is, you don't even need to go to a shop to buy it. Yet the natural instinct for todays savvy shoppers is.... wait until it's in the sale, even on day of release :) The smaller games companies can't make any money can they? Also there's people who don't pay at all and pirate it.
 
Purchased the whole pack for £6 last night (dont know why I waited so long!)

Also last night, bought COD MW3 from G2PLAY for £13.50 - Defence Grid was the better deal !
 
I've also added you.

Got addicted to this game when it first came out, got gold on every map and got every achievement. Might have to get the dlc soon, not sure I want to lose another week though.
