I'd happily slide Keira Knightly into my Crumpler ¬_¬

My decals have not turned up yet :( I believe they have been sent 2nd class bah!

That's rather red :p

I've been reading around trying to see how much more battery life is freed up after an SSD install and it seems an SSD in fact decreases battery time on most laptops due to the fact that it's either on or off and when on it's at full power due to being flash memory and the controller needs to access it at all times?

If this is true for the latest SSDs then I might just keep the WD 320GB !

I don't have your photography skills so the colours might be slightly off, but it is really red - quite christmas-y infact ;)

I use Clearkote Quickshine (a car quick-detailer spray) to keep glossy laptops fingerprint free (my other one is a Samsung Q210 which is gloss back).

Seems a decent enough HD, I think 2.5mm drives have come a long way, certainly in terms of noise, but also speed and power draw.

Perhaps that is going a bit too far though ¬_¬

The 320GB HDD is indeed very nice, especially at boot times and general speediness.
 
Update on the Wireless N card from HK issue.

The seller has refunded me but also said they are sending me a second card within 2 days incase it did get in the mail somewhere. Now do I wait until this 2nd one arrives (if it does) or just go ahead and order another elsewhere and possibly end up having 2.... I need wireless-n !

Don't knock it till you've tried it, clearkote is the stuff: )

Stick with the 1 n card, it's an expensive time of year to be buying 2 of everything
 
Yes and it arrived almost 2 months late LOL!

But as luck would have it the 1st one for the 13z actually arrived today!

The model I received was the 533AN_HMW (WiFi Link 5300).
 
Good to see your wifi card finally turned up at last mrk :)

Things are looking good for delivery of the 13z I ordered for my folks xmas tomorrow all being well!
 
Finger prints are annoying! I'm half tempted to just get one of those skins stickers for the lid!

It's arrived! But I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, might not even have time over the weekend either, it might just have to be wrapped...then that's job done.

For anyone else who ordered or has one, the best settings for the Intel GFX driver I found were:

That should give good black levels in videos and also not over saturate white brightness on normal windows etc.

And lastly, battery life, I'm getting some good mileage really especially tonight, been watching various TV shows since around 1am and right now battery reads:
