DELL 2407 Arrives at OcUK!!

Is that confirmed or not by Dell, or they are hoping that this is the case ?! If Europe is definitely getting the new revision of this panel, that's the good news.

already spoke to dell, they will not confirm the revision number, not sure how OCUK got this information ?

Excellent info there, cheers :)

I'm happy enough to get one now, although I'm going to wait until I get paid rather than sticking it on plastic now, to see if anything more pans out about this HD issue...

Looks like a nice monitor, but I'm not sure the price is as competitive as you imagine.

? I've seen it slightly cheaper but for the sake of a few quid I know where my money is going!

I haven't seen the screen on its own for a cheaper price, but it's possible to get it bundled with a low-spec desktop (Celeron D 325, 512MB RAM, 80GB HDD, DVD/CDRW) for only £50 more, which IMO is a much better deal.

I had looked at that route, but keeping the 3 year guarantee closest I could get with a cheapo pc is around £150 more with shipping, and I don't need another pc or the hassle of selling one... unless I can find someone who needs a new base unit... ;)

Hi , two questions i have are is this monitor HD ready and would i be able to run at full res on one x1900xtx gfx or would i need xfire for this
Thanks

HD ready (in as much as it has a HDCP DVI port) and 1920x1200 can be run from a single card on a single, standard DVI cable.

Are there any reviews for this up yet or do we need to wait until release here?......

no reviews that i've seen, just early user reports from Japan and Australia. See the link further up ;)

For the lastest and greatest games you need a crossfire or sli setup to run them at 1900x1200..

the limit for a single x1900xt-x is really 1650x1050,,which is what i run most my games at on my dell 2405 with my xt1900xt-x clocked at 690/800

Older games will have no problem running at 1900x1200 on a single x1900xt-x

It really goes by what games you play..
