Viewing angles are ok...But never really understood the issue...when your sat right in front of it.
totally agree with this.. everyone goes on about viewing angles but why do they matter when you're stood right in front of it haha
How is the response compared to the U34? And did you get much tearing on the superwide? These two monitors are so close in price I'm finding it hard to pick a winner. If I didn't love Street Fighter I'd be all over the U34, but obviously that awesome ratio counts against it there and I worry the response wouldn't really cut it as I'd be moving from a 1ms / 144Hz panel.
Really want to buy a monitor but I just can't decide!
I'd think you would enjoy UW more TBH...I'm running around @ 100 fps I'm I'm not noticing much over a solid 60fps UW ...but I have washed out colour and a smaller screen...
£600 for an 27" TN.......
Might have been acceptable a year or two a go but today hell no.

£600 is a lot!
I've now taken this Dell out of my options..
And so far opted for this.
still trying to decide which one.
My basket at Overclockers UK:
- 1 x Acer Predator XB270HU 27" 2560x1440 IPS G-Sync 144Hz Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black/Red (UM.H= £689.99
- 1 x Asus PG278Q ROG Swift 27" 2560x1440 TN G-Sync 144Hz Gaming Widescreen LED Slim Bezel Monitor - Black= £559.99
Total: £1,263.18
(includes shipping: £13.20)
However I've seen the Acer at £630
Easyrider, I've still got the screen with me so will do some further tests for this vertical line issue. Can't say I saw it at all before but keen to retest. Can you confirm if it's at certain settings? Refresh rate, Gsync on/off, ULMB on/off, response time setting?
The Acer for around 600 is a good deal for an IPS model, but at that price I'd be tempting my the IPS Swift tbh, especially with OcUK's dead pixel policy...
