Dell S2716DG - Dells first G-sync

Does the same go for vertical lines? as in black lines sometimes appearing during fast motion on lighter coloured objects etc?

As in this dudes video. You can just about make em out in the search bar of the facebook page he is looking at if you fullscreen

They are the interlace pattern artifacts I was referring to, actually. I assume the horizontal patterns Twirlywoos was seeing are similar and would affect all models as well. Although I haven't actually seen these myself, specifically. A bit odd.

As I don't have a facebook account I went to https://www.facebook.com/Microsoft

and scrolled down and I get no vertical lines nor do I get them in pCars like in his other video or maybe I am not noticing them or susceptible to them as much.

In his pCars tyre video there is a lot of transition going on with the road surface, track, tyre and event horizon. Additionally maybe motion blur & dof is playing effects on the image too all which I have off btw.

Here is my FB Test, can you see any of those lines?

I don't see any vertical lines on FB search bar like in the video. I do see faint vertical lines while scrolling on the OCUK forums front page. I also see lines like that doing the same on my other monitors (less lines but thicker).

Just out of curiosity? People with vertical lines, are you plugged directly into the wall outlet or a extension cable with other devices attached?

I checked my screen out on FB and other backgrounds and dont get those vertical lines at all. Then again I am plugged directly into a decent power conditioner extension block that gets rid of a lot of interference and noise?

Wonder if it could be a power issue that is causing this?

I think that's a good shout! When I checked my monitor before i packed it away. I didn't notice any issues regarding vertical lines.. I only had a slight scratch and dead pixel viewable from about 6 feet! But it's getting replaced on sat!

I have just got this monitor, very impressed, i do occasionally see the vertical lines, but its only on certain games like Dayz SA and Just Cause 3 and then they arent really noticeable unless you are looking for them, which this thread made me do, probably wouldnt have seen them other wise, i dont get any lines on websites or general computer use though, and after loading the tftcentral profile it looks great, although still a little too bright for me, will have to play with it, One thing i will say though, i haven't been doing very well at CSGO recently, even in DMs and Casuals i was getting rekt hard, but i seem to be doing better with this monitor just topped fragged 3 casuals by a distance and won 2 deathmatches, not played a comp yet, but will today.

One thing that is really irking me though, when i turn the PC off and then on again, it automatically switches to Monitor sound and i have to disable it in control panel everytime, my hungover brain just isn't telling me how to stop it doing that.

:edit: no dead pixals on mine aswell

With my Swift never had pixel inversion type artefacts using 120Hz on desktop, 144Hz but with 120-135fps cap ingame except when the panel went wrong. They'd happen a little at 144/144 though.

This jscreenfix a load of rubbish or can it actually work?

My stuck green pixel is bottom left of screen, right in the middle when you open the Start menu.

So want to buy. But holding off until I see the perfect monitor with perfect QC. Fast forward 10 years, yeah that's my benq 2410 I'm rocking, 13 years old now.

Del is far better than Asus when it comes to quality control and returns

I get the bone in a packet of chicken flavoured crips. I'd get a dud. Buying a monitor is the worst experience for money.

heh, well I had the same issue with Graphics cards for awhile!

970 Palit = NAFF!
970 Zotac = NAFF!
970 Gigabyte = Awesome, until I found out about the 4GB Vram issue ( Returned)
980 Galax = AWFUL
980 EVGA = NICE!
