Ain't gonna happen given the context and history.
I'll be gobmacked if the officers are not rehired either as that's the precedent they have over there.

I've seen them all now, unless you got a link to one showing him being put in the recovery position...

Of course the defence strategy is to dismiss the videos and are gonna go into the technicalties because it's all they got.

Whole thing needs a modern day Abraham Lincoln to make real progress. Like the great man once said don't focus on the technical legality of the argument, focus on the moral basis.

At the worst, Chauvin may have been indifferent to the state of George Floyd during the 9 minutes, but even if that is the case, it is not sufficient to convict for murder. Manslaughter potentially, but given the other factors such as the quantity of drugs ingested, underlying health issues, the hostile crowd, and GF resisting arrest it is more than enough to say that Chauvin just made some bad judgement calls in a stressful situation and potentially froze up while applying the the force he used.

Actually one of the podcasts invites a law students on each episode and its an even mix of liberal leaning and conservative leaning. Yeah there are Democratic prosecutors, they are still prosecutors though, they still aim to do justice and that means making the case for people to be deprived of their liberty, possibly for life. Though most on the podcasts I listen to were Federal so DOJ employees, not elected and so with no political agenda.

I work all day and tbh I've got better things to do than spend my downtime listening to 8 hours of as trial in a country that isn't even mine. Everyone on here has an opinion, that's great, everyone is entitled to one but the only opinions that matter are the 12 jurors in that court. We will see in 2 weeks time what their opinion is. Mine is that that police officer didn't care if the man he detained lived or died. He had a duty of care and he failed to live up to it. From the original videos he appeared to be point proving by not getting off GF when the crowd were begging him to do so, even after he was non responsive and stopped breathing. You have to be a pretty ***** person to do that and the last position such a person should be in is a position of power like being a police officer.

Stop listening\watching people with a agenda, and listen\catch up with the real thing. The TRIAL!

I can’t honestly see your disgust. He was a clear, high as a kite, low life criminal. He was treated as one would expect. He was physically larger and stronger than the police in the incident. Strong restraining is a must to “police” the situation.
Apart from him being “black” it’s just another normal arrest in America. I would largely expect hundreds of other black criminal arrests in the US go down very similar without any issue.
This one just got the activists backs up.
