Here's my corner of the conservatory I've been allowed for my "PC hobby":

Yes, I could do with recovering the horrible, worn out sofa bed partially hidden by my chair, but dammit that money is ear-marked for PC upgrades and new bike tyres! :)

How you finding the new silverstone case?

How you finding the new silverstone case?

All things considered, love it. It's not as quiet as my old Antec 900 was (always kept all case fans on low), but it's not particularly intrusive with both fans set to low. Building in it was a dream, no more problems of GPU power cables butting against HDDs, and you would really have to try hard to leave any visible cabling on the front. I've got 2 x HDDs and 2 x SSDs installed behind the motherboard, so still have room for 2 more HDDs back there. Temperatures were hitting 40's on the HDDs, so I added a Yate Loon back there and that's keeping them 30-32C without adding any noticable noise.

Flicking the fans onto high does produce a lot of noise, but no more than the GPUs when gaming. In fact, I've found that it's quieter when gaming with the case on high than on low (as the GPUs fans stay at 60% rather than 70%).

I managed to "stealth" both my optical drives so you can't see them from the front but they're still fully usable, and I think the think looks great in the flesh - especially with a couple of white cathodes so you can see the insides better.

Overall, I honestly couldn't be happier with the looks, performance, ease of use or quality. I would like it to be a little quieter when not gaming, but I can always put the fans on a separate fan controller to sort this if it really bothers me.

I put some pictures and my initial thoughts here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18274849
but have changed the arrangement of the HDDs and SSDs since then to make cabling neater at the back.

Been trying to find a bracket to mount a 2.5 drive in an enclosure to the to the underneath of my desk. Hide it away and all that stuff. Since I got my 650D I have been looking through the thread for inspiration to sort my desk area.

Went to B&Q and I was hopeless at finding a bracket.

Any advice? I think I need some kind of U bracket or strap so I can clamp the drive to the wooden desk.

Room : (didn't show bed etc. as its all untidy)

Ryan111, Many thanks for the help, took the plunge & bought a RV03, superb case.
Picture soon.

Good choice! :) I may be slightly biased as I got one a few weeks back, but I think they're great and you will love it. Check out the FAQ for the RV03 on Silverstone's website as it shows you how to hide your optical drives which, IMHO, makes the front look much neater. It's not covered in the instructions.

I have joined the Ikea brigade as my daughter has been after a desk and I wanted something I can get my Boogie Bug on. This should be easier to keep clutter free but I now have to organise all the stuff I cleared from the old desk.

I will be moving the desk into a different corner of the room at a later date, so I will sort out a proper home for the printer then and stick some shelf up for games etc.

I now have two new problems to sort out. My chair is a bit knackered and won't go as high as it used to and my old cordless mouse doesn't track on the BB mat, so I have had to stick a 50p Ikea pad on top for now. Hopefully I can get a MX-518 in a few weeks :)
