Thought it would be fun to post a picture of my desk before my room gets redecorated and everything gets changed.

There are some high quality, tiny amps out there but of course you pay a fortune for the convenience...

Years back a bought a pair of studio monitors for my desktop. They died though and I replaced them with relatively crappy Creative T20s :rolleyes: Been dying to upgrade to something decent for ages, but I want something with a built-in DAC this time so I don't need to buy a good sound card, too. Teufel's Concept B has a tiny little desktop amp with DAC built in but I think I'm going to go the whole hog and get the B&W MM1s...

I demoed them in a shop and while I don't think the sound is worth £400 alone (maybe £250-£300 IMO) they look lovely and do feature a quality DAC.

Problem is I also need a desktop upgrade (i5 + mobo + RAM + heatsink) and that'd actually work out cheaper :( Sorry, I didn't mean to post my full life story in this thread! :p

Are you in a studio apartment? Is there a couch where you're taking the photo from?

EDIT: Or is that a bedroom and it's a bed where you are? At first glance it looked very open and living-roomy.

its just a bedroom turned into an entertainment room, i took the picture at the door to the entrance of the room,

this room is very big. :)

i watch tv from in bed, you can just see the corner of it

Yes, I could do with recovering the horrible, worn out sofa bed partially hidden by my chair, but dammit that money is ear-marked for PC upgrades and new bike tyres! :)
