*** Desk and Room Gallery***

This is my current setup. Sometimes have the side of the case off. Need a good lamp to go on the desk really.

And yes, the only power socket is in the top right corner of the wall...

I'll get a 'lecky' out soon to fix that!

Hi mate what chair is that? I like it.

was about to ask why you had a stinkpad and figured it was your works retro button mouse thing too.
It's actually a really good laptop (if it wasn't full of work firewall and bloatware) A T420, has a nice 1600*900 14" monitor and well built.

Whats that glass box with the apple product inside it??

It's an Apple G4 Cube. Not running atm, but I have plans to fit an ITX motherboard in it and bring it into the Ivy Bridge world!

Also whats that cat thing on top of your monitor?
It's a handmade bronze cat ornament.

Monitor looks wonky as the kettle lead is ***** and constantly wiggles it's way loose and turns off.... Not happy.

Moved back to my Dad's for a couple of months before I get my own place.

This'll do till then :p (Sorry about the bad phone pic)

Sony 40" LED (also works as second monitor)
Pioneer VSX-421K reciever and basic 5.1 setup
PC running an i5 2500k, 8GB RAM, 570 GTX
Sky HD
And the headphones in the corner are Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros

TV looks like it's at a funny angle, well it is but when I'm sat on the bed watching movies it's dead centre :)

My little corner: PC (Silverstone Raven RV03, in cupboard under desk) outputs to monitor and AV Amp/TV for movies with decent HD audio (Mordaunt Short Alumni & BK Gemini II sub).

Also have a gigabit network throughout the flat for HD streaming via PS3 Media Server - 12TB of movies, music and Kid's TV shows so the sprogs can watch their favourite shows in their (recently decorated) room and the wife has music in the bathroom and kitchen.

Although it's a small flat, we've made a huge effort to modernise, taking the whole place back to bare concrete, complete rewire, new bathroom & kitchen and ensuring we have effective storage space in order to keep a clean, modern theme, whilst still being comfortable.

Being 160ft up (13th floor) we get some incredible views of the Solent, Isle of Wight and the Spinnaker Tower in Gunwharf Quays.

Not bad for a 1960's council flat in the scummiest part of Pompey... ;)

Hi mate, nice set-up and flat.

Was wondering what the cushion is you have on the chair? I could use something like that to make mine a little more comfortable.

Hi mate, nice set-up and flat.

It's the gel cushion for my spare wheelchair. Supports the coccyx and helps avoid pressure sores. Very expensive if they're supplied outside the NHS, but check eBay...

Edit: This is my one here, but there are different types available (foam, gel & air). I can't fidget that much due to partial paralysis, which means I risk pressure sores. Thoroughly recommend buying the best you can - spend more the longer you're sat in the same position. It really does make a difference to posture and fatigue levels, plus I can use it in my car on long journeys.
It also means I can make the arms of the chair fit under the desk, so I can sit closer to the keyboard and rest my forearms on the desk, whilst still being at the correct height to see the screen.

Nice set-up RedMogg, but the vital question that needs answering is; where did you get that Boba Fett statue? :D
I bought it from the classifieds on AV forums, about £35 iirc, there's a great community of memorabilililia collectors & traders on there.
Will try and find the official retailer for you...

It's a Gentle Giant Classic Animation statue, limited edition. Had no idea it was worth so much, although mine's been "modified" by the cat (chewed one of his cloak toggles! :()
