Desktops!!

No the window with the information in it.
On mines it's set to behave as a window, ie be able to be dragged about etc.

To avoid such problems you can pause it by clicking the icon. Clicking again restarts it. Another alternative is to set the priority to very low.

Doesn't work :)
Tried that, I changed the start up procedure (see this very forum to see my request on how to do it) so that it started up low. Samurize itself resets its priority level IME, back to normal. Somepoint during the start up procedure it seems to check its priority level :D

Strange mine doesn't. I'm beginning to wonder what I've done to my install cos I can do things that 2 of you can't.

and HERE for the full size.

Did the samurize from scratch, been using it for months now. I had a look at the SmartXP but found it to be very buggy, also used near 20mb's or ram when Samurize only uses 3.2mb's.

Is there a way to remove the text under icons? preferably without some elaberate software.

Sort of. If you delete the current text and then type in alt-255 you'll get a blank text field, for the next icon type it in twice etc

I re-installed Samurize last night on my clean XP setup, and had a little fiddle. Then found some nice wallpapers on heavy-rotation, and had to re-fiddle again :)

I quite like it at the moment. Took the BSC v8.1 script off samurize, and customized it for my own useage, replaced background images that denote each area (note the alpha transparency fades), tweaked it a little bit.
The upload / download figures should now be working. When I did the snapshots I'd just changed my network setup (i use a PCI network card because of Linux, but system has integrated. Did have them bridged so the laptop could see the router elsewhere in our network, but removed the bridge as it was no longer needed), so the figures had reset.

Thankyou 'sah. Still working on those PNG files. Trying to get some kind of lightning effect, I think.
