Destiny 2... It's a coming!

Campaign finally done. Can some kind souls add me Shockwave#22716 for nightfall, trials and raids. Dont like being rude and joining fireteam from the clan without asking

There is no global chat, only whisper and team chat and whisper is limited to friends list unless you and the person you want to whisper turn that off in the settings. I didnt even knew until today that you could turn it off so dont bet on many others knowing either cause the settings is buried. Read ->REDDIT<-

Its SO bizarre to me that in a multiplayer game I cannot chat to people. So weird that when I am in a zone and running about, I cant simply ask a question of someone. Seems like a really backward move in online gaming to me, strange design decision.

Agreed, it's too obviously a console port.

Would be great if you could matchmake for the raids as well, as if you don't have friends playing the game its hard to ever get a group.
 
Also rather bizarre that you can't matchmake for a raid or strike with randoms, only with two clan mates on nightfall anyway so myself and Spin2k last night couldn't get a third for nightfall.

Wait, what?

So you can't just go to some raid/event and click match-make like The Division/every other game does it?
You need to form a group from friend list/clan list first?

Nope, past a certain gear level it doesn't look like there is any match making. The Leviathan Raid for example you need 6 people already.

Unless i'm missing something obvious..

This is why the don’t allow randoms for the raid/nightfall, both need communication and for people to know their tasks. Nothing to be petrified about although you do need to communicate and have a clue what you are doing the raid isn’t overly difficult plenty of people on here who have run it on console and there are those running it on PC now so I’m sure enough people to help you through.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I was the same and got guided by a few guys and it all made sense what to do. Communication is key, and timing, some things can fail by only a few seconds.

We will be finishing it on Monday, but im down for trying on another character over the weekend.
 
Will be doing a raid tonight and will have a couple of spots free if anyone is interested - we are going in blind! So if you are expecting a speedrun then look elsewhere...
