Destiny 2... It's a coming!

I managed to farm 200 of them before getting bored last night. Can't say I needed to do it though, the game is far too generous with loot, stuff I'll never use. My vault has a crazy amount of legendary and exotic items that will simply be left to rot

I'm at 290 now and must say I'm quickly out of stuff to do, it just doesn't seem to have to grab of the old game. I still log on and do my daily milestones and do some strikes/crucible, but that's about it

I believe the same was said about D1 at launch?

But with D1, the random rolls on weapons meant grinding for loot was a little more meaningful, now I just barely look at the stats and it goes straight in the vault unless I'm likely to use it. Also with D1, as the format was fairly new, it lasted a little while for me, I wasn't really bored until after the Crota raid.

Don't get me wrong, I will still play it especially as the expansion is so close but it's just not grabbed me as hard as the first one

Sort of, in D1 at the beginning there wasn't enough to do as there was a lack of activities and loot (Having to grind the loot cave was a good example of this)

in D2 it's almost the exact opposite but the same result - many more activities and way too generous loot leading to not enough to do.

Seems to be an issue if you game too much. :p

Still got plenty to do as a "casual", not even started another character yet, only just hit 270. :)

lol oh no i'm a casual too, only just hit 268 (ish) and there's a fair bit to keep me going, but i can see where it's heading having played a lot of D1.

All my friends have the ps4 version and have come up against the problems above (I went with PC as it's much more awesomer :p)

I can see the point, there doesn't seem to be that much to do.

I think they have just parcelled it up into expansions just to fleece more cash out of us.

Personally if I get 80+ hours out a game thats fine with me. :)

Beat the campaign last night, was good. A lot shorter than I had expected but it's never about that. Did one strike after that which was fun. Not sure how much mileage I'll get out of it but I'm happy to drop in and out for a strike here and there

We have a single raid spot free for friday from 7pm till late. Must have discord/working mic - happy to take people who have not run it before but you must be familiar with the raid so makes explaining it a little easier.

Nightfall was tough this week, last two weeks have been fairly easy but this one was rough. Took 3 attempts, first two were stupidly close, running out of time with mm left on his health bar. Third and final attempt we did it with seconds to spare

no one except me seemed to get that you have to use the energy rings to increase time, I'd get a couple and then die getting swarmed, and the other two guys would just ignore them :/

Tip. at the part with the drill, 1 person drop down and die. the other 2 stay up top until your % is complete, then jump down and jump through the portal. Saves ammo/time etc.

couple of hours and my weekly reset it done... which is annoying.

I enjoy the game massivly and still desperate to finish that raid ( can never get a time with people when im available due to my shifts at work )

The problem I'm finding is the loot all feels the same

Scout rifle at 200 GS killed enemies in 1 or 2 shots, Scout rifle at 300 GS kills enemies in 1 or 2 shots

Armour at 200 GS takes same amount of hits as armour at 290 GS

I'm upgrading my gear, but why ? In a game sense I do not feel any more powerful than I did at 200 GS so what's the point besides being able unlock raids which nobody seems to want to do ?
