Destiny 2... It's a coming!

Just finished the Curse of Osiris, and I'm pretty glad I didn't pay full price for it when it came out. It's not horrible, but it's not exactly memorable either. The Infinite Forest is a bit of a let-down. It's little more than an obstacle between the player and the next mission. I found myself just running past enemies most of the time to get to the next section.

I'm gonna spend some time levelling up a bit before starting Warmind. Then it's on to Forsaken. I'm moderately dischuffed that I can't infuse my gear any more without some new resource that I haven't come across yet. Mastery something. I have to equip whatever has the highest power level for the time being. My fashionframe is ruined.

Yeh the infusion thing is annoying and I completely agree he first DLCs were average. Hit me up if you wanna run through the Forsaken story, need a partner in crime.

Well got gifted a key buy friend yesterday as I would have never even considered this at any price given Activision Blizzards business practices.
However I installed as it was free but as I don't own a console I have no idea what the 1st Destiny was about or even how it worked, I've done no research at all, have no clue about anything and have installed completely blind to everything Destiny.

So having played about 3-4 hours last night I have to say I quite enjoyed the gun play, I'm level 9 (I think) currently and seem to be going through a single player style story with some interactions with real life players mixed in.
Any tips on the best way to proceed? Some guy in a church tower sent me underground beneath a it do a mission which I did and I also got involved in a glimmer event just outside which seemed to have some real life players in it as well.

Honestly not a clue whats happening really, I just keep shooting the things that attack me :D

Oh and why is Battle.net such a buggy mess? Took me 3 attempts to install the game and basically learned to never pause a download ifrom it.

I would recommend doing some Googling / YouTubing if you want to get a better base knowledge of what is going on, as there is a lot to explain.

Foresaken is the content you want to get to ASAP, so just keep following the missions you get given on your director screen (think this is hold tab, or press "m", it's muscle memory at this point) and if you need to rank up in between the missions, then again bring up your map and go to a symbol - everything will give EXP.

To all the guys posting clan requests, please your bnet tag or ideally join the Discord and post there. We get a lot of random requests, so unless you specify, it will get likely get declined.

Hi guys, while i really enjoyed the base game until i realized there was no meaningful endgame so i didnt buy any DLC.
I play looter games like POE,diablo3,wow,warframe etc so i know what a decent endgame needs to be to keep me coming back.
It all seems pretty expensive on battlenet to get all content released so far, if im going to buy i need to know there is lots to do at endgame.
Is it worth coming back to at this stage?
Also is the Legendary edition the one to go for?

Yes, 100% worth coming back. The changes in Forsaken are well worth the price and there is loads of end game content. They've also overhauled some of the core mechanics which has made a world of difference compared to where it was on initial release.

I bought the Legendary Edition from CDKeys for £33.99, I had pretty much given up playing but I am really enjoying it again.

Shame we had to wait a year to get it in this state.

I cant seem to find any decent endgame reviews or thoughts on youtube etc, anyone care to sum up quickly whats on offer for endgame please.

The IGN review does an pretty decent job of covering it: https://www.ign.com/articles/2018/09/10/destiny-2-forsaken-review

The raid releases this Friday, so once that is completed, we'll have the full picture. Theory is that by the community completing the raid, it will "transform" or unlock more of the end game destination.

@willhub Yes, its the only Destiny 2 content so far I can 100% recommend. CDKeys has the best deal on the Legendary edition that will bring you up to date.

haha no sooner have i said it and cd keys knocked €1 off the price.

The biggest difference I've found in this new update (I don't have forsaken) is the ability to easily upgrade my weapons. I now have to have a big list of ingredients to keep my favourite weapons infused. The biggest barrier being that I need masterwork cores that only come from trashing (pretty rare) masterwork weapons.

Why is it so hard now or have I missed something? Am I supposed to just keep swapping my current favourite exotic for a blue one that has a higher power rating?

I don't think they've catered for non-forsaken players in this regard. We can buy them from Spider on Tangled Shore but the price increases...10,20,40,80,160 etc...you can get them from de-constructing weapons but I've not found a reliable way to find them or tell when they'll drop (prob over a certain MW drops 1-2 cores). The best way to still get them is raids though, prestige at that.

The newly unlocked strike is beautiful!

Forsaken really has saved the game.

As for infusion and masterwork cores. They expect you to just use best drops til max level. Then start working on infusion and fashion :D

Pretty much @HeX

I have been infusing the guns I like the most as I go and are most useful such as midnight coup, ikelos shotgun, whisper and sleeper. Probably spent and earned about 100 cores in the first week.

I got this free with a gfx card, but can't decide whether to keep it or not. Is it worth playing in single player? I enjoyed Borderlands 2 in single player, but have heard this isnt as good. What would Destiny 2 plus Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions go for if I did sell it? I cant seem to find any on ebay or the mm.
