Destiny 2... It's a coming!

It wants you to buy some exotics from previous releases that you don't have.

Yeah, but this is annoying if you don't want to, as it just keeps flashing at you.

I remember the most annoying thing about these expansions though. I started at light level 1050, most of the quests/mobs are 1060, so it's hard, but fine. Then SUDDENLY, all the quests are 1100 light level. So you need to needlessly grind in order to progress through the main story. Such a stupid system.

I know you can gear up quite quickly, but I shouldn't need to needlessly grind to go through the storyline.

It's their way of dragging it out :)

See my post a bit further up involving a lost sector on the EDZ, will get you up to 1200 in roughly an hour - hour and a half tops. Currently sitting at 1206 according to DIM.

E: see post above^^^

Zzz :) I did see a video suggesting an easy way to reach the softcap, but guarantee it won't be there when I play again tomorrow:

The exploit will be there for as long as it takes bungie to figure out how to fix it. Remeber the AFK forge exploit last season? Took them around 4-5 days to fix, as long as each 5pm daily reset passes without an update the exploit will be there.

Are the only pinnacle activities really 3 x crucible, 3 x gambit, 100k ordeal, 3 x strike playlist?? If so 1260 is going to be an absolute pointless nightmare. Last season we had those, plus 2 x dungeons (PoH now pointless, proph is gone for now) as well as pinnacles from the interference.

Anyone who has BL, are there pinnacle weeklys from the fallen guy that was rescued or something?

Various places are reporting that it's been 'fixed'

Glad I got to 1200 while I could. Though the powerful/pinnacle rewards available this season is slim pickings. Going to be a good few weeks before I can even look at doing 1250+ activities.

I am at 1205 at the moment.

One thing that has really peed me off... got some weapons from before Beyond Light that can't be infused to make them higher power ie Bygones. These are master worked items.

I assume they are now obsolete? So all previous stuff should be discarded?

Yep, those are "sunset" now, and have a max power of 1050(60?) They can still be used in activities that aren't at-power (normal crucible, strikes (aside from 2 new ones) older raids etc).

Disappointed at the quantity of new weapons, and the fact that the crucible, gambit and vanguard new armor sets are the same models with different markings is just lazy. Guess we need to get used to smaller content drops. Enjoyable expansion mind you, lots of great changes.

So Witherhoard has been 'disabled until further notice'

So bungie not content with wiping out near 60% of the loot pool are now disabling exotics :o:p

Due to an issue with the legendary engram drop rate in the Widow's Walk EDZ Lost Sector, we have lowered the rate to its intended frequency.

E2: Shock horror looks like they were disabled for everyone because.....they're broken/OP in PVP. Fantastic, more nerfs incoming because they don't want to run PVP/PVE as seperate entities.

To put this into context, someone on reddit did the math...they have sunset (made useless at a 1060 cap) 75.5% of all legendary weapons, while adding just an additional ~6% back into the loot pool, it has to be stressed as well that ~6% includes adept weapons, trails weapons, raid weapons and IB weapons. Of the remaining 24.5% of weapons that remain viable from previous seasons, even less of those are actually obtainable in this season - things like the sereph weapons for example.

I feel bungie really need to come out and make a statement (maybe this weeks twab?) about how the weapon pool is going to be managed and increased going forward.

I must say, I'm blooming glad I didn't pay £35 to have maps removed, guns removed and level capped and generally less content.

I mean, what? The whole DLC is a joke. I thought this was supposed to be revamping it but it's really poor :(

Yeah there's so much wrong with this expansion, could just go on a rant about it. Ah well, maybe it'll get better again over time.
- weapons gutted, hardly anything back in return
- new skills are pretty annoying, the ice wall just blocks being able to deal damage to enemies. Warlock super in pve will most likely be 'balanced' due to pvp
- hardly anything to do, there's no point rushing to 1200 (only takes a few hours anyway)
- older players still have access to all their older kit in crucible and gambit. Gives an unfair disadvantage to any newer players as they can't get any of the older stuff (sunsetting was meant to be for balance, but it just nucked newer players)
- new zone is large with 1 main usable spawn point, just a time waste having to travel around
- why is the darkness linked to frost skills? feels pretty lame
- personally found the story to be really low quality and the story telling really annoying. Mr click click face and patronising ghost didn't pair well

I found this odd too, the darkness is linked to blights, they could/should have gone the blight power route, moved Witherhoard over to the energy slot in the process, think of the potential given powers of other taken enemies. Though theres probably some BS lore entry that explains why its ice, much the same how the COLDheart trace rifle is arc.

Trails has been suspended until the 27th due to the plethora of outstanding bugs, mostly related to stasis and warlocks being able to have infinte super.

ammo brick drop rates have been adjusted far too much I would say too, running a sniper/smg/sword with sword/sniper scavs. Constantly running out of smg ammo - as a primary I really shouldn't need to worry about scav mods for this and heavy bricks on the sword are almost non existent. Lots of sniper ammo though, always handy when trying to melt a champion from 5ft away lol
