Destiny 2... It's a coming!

Anyone bothered with the Rockstar energy drink promotion? I've been punching the codes in I get from the blue cans which I believe is the hunter cans? I've redeemed 21 codes but i'm not unlocking the bonus hunter stuff, anyone had this issue?

The engram thing? I think you can only claim something like 3 a day.... you should be able to go into your Bungie account and look up your rewards to get the codes to claim them.... but it wasn't worth it.
 
Hmm do I buy this...got it with Season Pass on Xbone but I can't get used to controller FPS games, I enjoyed the story but haven't tried the raids.

Tempted to buy it and play it on PC as mouse and keyboard is so much easier
 
Seems everyone ive spoken to about D2 had enough after two weeks and they are casual gamers.

Think ill stick to warframe, id love destiny to have a real endgame, if it did id be allover it.

yeah im hearing the same and most people i know that pre ordered on pc have canceled it. Im still going to give it a go but i have installed warframe. Im just finding it really hard to figure out what to do ha. I just need a grind style game for over the winter..
 
Warframe is fun, admittedly I've only played an hour or so, but I don't think it's in the same league as Destiny. Personally.

Lots of changes coming soon it seems.

I have no idea what I am doing in Warframe either...
 
Finally got my key from CDKeys, made the mistake of putting it on the same order as another preorder which isn't due out yet, I think that messed up the early delivery!
Request sent for the OcUK clan and details added to spreadsheet. Lets see how long this game lasts :)
 
Sorry to go off topic about warframe but to those confused like i was for a few days i cannot recommend the wf wiki enough, its a fantastic resource and veterans of 4 years use it on a daily basis, yes the game is that deep.

Agreed, but at the end of the day, why not both? Warframe has ton of stuff to grind out long term, I've just hit MR4 and have no idea what 60% of the stuff is lol. But Destiny 2, even though it's "a mile wide and an inch deep" at the moment, has the gunplay and that AAA touch.

For all those kicking off fresh in Destiny 2 this week, here's a great Reddit post giving general advice and tips

Ah nice i will have a look at this. If D2 doesn't do well maybe we should all do a warframe discord evening one weekend :D
 
Console gamer here. Not sure I understand the hate.
I played the vanilla destiny 1 didn't get any dlc still clocked 120 hours despite some things lacking.

Destiny 2 have clocked 90 hours so far. It's much more refined and it looks great. If you treat it as an fps first rather than an mmo then you'll appreciate really how much there is to do compared to an average fps.

For those new to Destiny, you're in for a treat. Enjoy!

Sounds promising then, because I definitely wont be treating it like an MMO, no idea why anyone would, its in no way an MMO its completely lacking the MM part.

Correct.

I think if most approach it with an open mind and not to expect and MMO they will be happy with it.

It has solid FPS mechanics, just enough reward regularity to keep you going, and is easy enough to jump in for small bursts.

Something, as a father of 2 under 3 year old children, that is perfect for me.
