Destiny 2

For me, and i know the Beta is a small example, but there isn't anything new to make me want to invest in it.

Agreed, combined with the Bungie ethos of locking things like Nightfall behind a new paywall every time new DLC is released I just have no inclination whatsoever to give them my money, I shall stick with The Division for now and hope that Anthem turns out good :)

better off getting it a year later, plus everything will be fixed :D

The cool downs certainly need a look at or the very least we could do with a confirmation of how gear will affect them in the final game (for all we know some gear may drop 1 or all of our cool downs to tier 12 D1 levels).

I was able to get a super every PVP game I played (lots of killing) but it did come in the closing stages of the game.

Power ammo in PVE is something Bungie have confirmed they are looking at in one of their recent posts (The one on their main site). Again it isn't something I struggled with when playing but I know my Mrs didn't get any drop during one run of the strike.

lol it's funny how you lot complain about the beta etc.

It's a BETA!!! It's hardly the finished product is it?? The clue is in the name guys ;).

I thought the beta was pretty good for what it was. Yes the supers did take a while to charge up, I'm pretty certain they won't take that long to charge up in the game. If they did then that would be a stupid move from Bungie.

But anyhow the beta as limited as it was, was a decent look at the game. Graphically it's much sharper than D1, liked the effects shown and im just using a lowly Xbox one with a 720p screen.

I'm looking forward to the full game when it releases and yes there will be a few bugs. I mean division was a pile of steaming dog crap and to this day, still not much better.

Anthem will probably be my choice also, need to see a lot more though before i decide..

Tell that to the multitude of posts on the Destiny reddit (all of which have 100's of replies moaning about the cooldown times). It is hard to find anything constructive within the sea of moaning.

I am looking at it from the point of view that we don't have the full information / picture (because it is a beta). :)

Meh Reddit is just full of pre pubescent kids arguing about anything lol

That's the exact same view I'm taking, it's not the complete game or finished article. I do agree with some saying it should have a bit more in the beta but from what I saw, I liked it.

Seeing as I haven't played Destiny since Feb, it was a welcome return back to the newer version of Destiny.

It would be cool if there had been a couple of patrol activities or a scheduled public event (there is kind of one at the beginning of the strike where the fallen drop down and all hell breaks loose) added to pad it out a little, but overall I wasn't fussed with the (lack of) content offered.

I need to play a little more of the PvP as I enjoyed the few games I had the other night (Sorry JP, I fell asleep last night before jumping on :o).

Yup, plenty of time for them to cut a load of content so they can sell it as DLC :p
Lol but that's always been the way anyhow. I've got no problem paying for content as long as it's worth it. All I ever paid for on destiny is the DLC, I never bothered with the whole micro transaction concept within destiny ie emotes and other silly things that really added nothing to the game.

Other games do it but seems like when bungie do it with destiny, the world is up in arms etc.

Enjoyed the first one but thought it felt the exact same, not sure ill pay £40+ for it which is a shame wanted something more fresh and improved.

Can't be too critical because this isn't the game you will end up with - it is just a very small part of it. I liked what I played and that's all I care about - not sure if I will day one it or get it in 12 months with the expansions. I'll probably cave. Hell I bought the last one 3 times!

They don't really lock you out of existing content, only content you haven't got. Sure that means things like certain PvP playlists, iron banner or the latest strike playlists wont be available but I'm pretty sure they still have legacy playlists, correct me if I am wrong.

I always had the latest expansions so I could be wrong.

Try playing Destiny on a new account without the dlc and see how you fare.
And as I've said other games do pretty much the same as destiny ;).

So no point in moaning about it, you want new content then pay for it. If you don't then fine don't complain about it.

The only real gripe I had with destiny is one of the DLC's was pretty bare, think it was the second one but still enjoyed it even though I had to shell out for it.

It's like someone said, wait a few mths or a year and you can pretty much pick up the game with all the DLC's for a cheap price.

I've pre ordered destiny 2 and will be keeping it. Of course the version I've pre ordered is setting me back £80 but it does come with a few extras.

No worries Owe, I gave the Titan a go, gotta get used to his jump lol

I wasn't on much, went back on Neverwinter after starting a new character on that.

Name some, every other game that I can think of leaves the base game intact and adds content and activities rather than locking out people who don't keep up with purchasing the expansions. Don't mistake my comments for moaning either, merely discussing it as it you stated other games do the same, which they don't in my experience.

Gripes it feels similar to last game no big jump but tbf if it ain't broke? Like some of the improvements especially the titan shield and smash. I liked how supers charged slower in pvp. Playing on a pro
