Destiny 2

September? phew - got time to get my crap together - Darn RL throwing curve balls

Does it play better on a PS4 Pro?

Just played PS4 Pro and PC versions back to back.

If you're on the fence about which to go for, don't be. Wait for the PC version. PS4 pro is terribad in comparison, I don't think it was even managing 30fps.

This was a butter smooth 1080ti GSync setup, but even so, it was a completely different experience. Mouse control felt tight, nice conversion. My mind is made up!

Oh well, us paupers will have to make do with the ps4 :p

PS4 pro version is running at a 99% locked 30FPS according to DF.

I certainly noticed no framerate issues when playing the beta.

Comparing back to back between a 1080Ti G-sync setup and a PS4 Pro will definitely highlight the lower framerate on the latter. In isolation it would be fine.

I am looking forward to testing the PC version on the beta at the end of the month.

I played the PS4 Pro version first and it was not good at all, maybe they have a duff build or something but the MP felt like a slideshow at times. Bear in mind I'm used to D1 on PS4!

PC version was lubbly jubbly. Obviously if you only have the one platform then get that but if you're on the fence, my advice is wait for the PC beta before you decide :)

Was fine for me and the Mrs ( I was playing on the base PS4 as well). No different to D1 in terms of "feel".

As you say, maybe a duff build or something else off.

As said Digital Foundry did their usual framerate testing on the beta and it was rock solid stable with no issues on frametimes. Base PS4 had a few hiccups with the latter but was overall perfectly fine.

I will be playing on the PS4 first (it is out first) and then on both once the PC launches. I aim to start streaming / video creation at that point as well. :)

My PC will be running a GTX1070 & 1440p 144hz G-sync display so should be fine for 60+ FPS (based on a 1080ti managing 60fps locked at 4K). My CPU is up in the air as my plan to replace my current i7 4770s with a Ryzen 1700 (OC) has not worked out well...

I say it felt bad, I still managed to keep up my Gamescom winning streak with a 4.4 k/d ass-kicking :P

Got a spare code for the Confluence Of Light emblem if you want it OweO?

I should be getting my pc by the end of September, maybe mid October at the latest :) will be getting it on both.

Is there a way for me to find the ocuk clan via the destiny app? I'm having s blonde moment trying to find it?

If you post up your Bungie.net profile name then you can be invited into the clan, can't recall if you can do it via the app. Otherwise login to Bungie.net and look for the Clan link (top left?) and that has the find clan option, search for "Overclockers UK PS4". Looks like open membership so presume you can just signup without anyone needing to approve.
