Have you done the Mida and Storm quests as Exotics drop a lot higher, also if you of your weapons or armour dropped with the +5 power Legendary mods on and you infuse something into them you get whatever the their power level is and the +5 on top.
 
I've got a nice exotic weapon and armour piece, both 278 light, just dont seem to be getting drops of legendarys for other armour pieces, stacks and stacks of stuff at 265 lol

my experience from D1 was that NF with randoms was a terrible idea :p

Saying that, is DestinyLFG still a thing? As long as you got people with mics and the right level of gear that seemed to be a much better way than just random queuing.

I still use the100.io . Did my first NF the other day on it and was a good group, although predictably it took us a few runs to get used to D2 NFs - never done one before.
 
I assume you are doing the Crucible to get your Powerful engram from Shaxx.

It takes about 10 quick matches and does drop the occasional legendary and gives you 500 clan xp a match to reach your 5000 for another Powerful engram.
 
Crucible is certainly worth it. I've had one or two exotics even though my team "lost"


I find the cabal heroic mining public event the easiest way to farm exotics and legendaries.

Any other good tips ??
 
Got home from work, put destiny on straight away, rushed to xur, bought merciless............ then realised I already had it. Waste of 29 shards :/
 
I was surprised how cheap everything was tbf, I was worried about using them beforehand on infusion but seems you're always going to have plenty
