Overall there are things to be positive about but I am not getting hyped over changes that already existed in a similar form in D1 (ie: they should have ******* been in the game to start with..).

Masterworks sounds cool but again the proof is in the pudding. My main concern is that in the aim of balance the additional perk (which can be re-rolled) will be lacklustre (in the same way the current mods are all a bit "meh").

Hopefully though all of the little tweaks will add up to a game that we actually want to jump on and play (like D1) as I sorely miss that!
 
These changes would have been planned for months so unlikely a response to recent criticism, nothing exciting tbh and some are things we were accustomed to in D1
 
I'm glad to see they are focusing on QoL improvements , but that company are an absolute shambles.

After four years of D1 they seemingly had no idea what their player base enjoyed from their own game. Now they're going to spend the next six months rowing D2 back in an attempt to shoehorn as much of the original back in as possible.

How they didn't know this would be the eventual outcome is completely baffling.

Just been chatting with my Mrs about what we would love to see in D2 and now I can't get the following out of my head:

Note - this would be in addition to the DLC content and would work from a lore perspective given how much the Vex love a good simulation.

- Vex simulations of D1 story missions / strikes with modifiers and randomised enemies (basically mash together D1 maps with D2 enemy assets) - Our thoughts were a few to drop with the DLC itself and then more added weekly or monthly.

- Vex simulations of either entire D1 raids or a mash up of raid encounters (hell include POE bosses in there as well) which would be on rotation with interesting modifiers (imagine something like Daybreak on Aksis for example). Again they could rotate in more as time goes on.

- Utilise the new "Forge" to psuedo bring back random rolls (hell use the logic from D1) but have it only apply in the "simulations" (This in theory could allow them to bring back random rolls in the future using data collected to ensure balance).

Theoretically speaking the top two should be relatively easy to implement and could be used as a content stop gap between major releases. It will probably never happen but would be a cool addition and would really help to bridge the content droughts.
 
Expansion Pass (so far) worth £27? The level increase is gonna help greatly. How much content is on Mercury?

Who's up for sorting out a raid/some strikes when the December update drops? Like oweo says, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and at the very least it'll be good to have a laugh with some of the guys on comms.
 
Hell yeah, I can't wait to see the savage comments from Davie directed at Mak's inability to hit a barn door with a pulse grenade..... :D

Does anyone fancy a blast through the D1 raids at some point? I have a hankering to use more than one super in an hour of gameplay...

I'll be around when the dlc drops, give that new raid lair a go to.

Did my first Strike, went quite well but still no gear above 265 Power Level?

Also my helmet doesn't seem to change appearance when selecting a new one.
 
Ok, so the first destiny clan is very quiet with chatter about the new expansion so I’m looking at jumping ship to the second overclockers clan.... is it still quite active? Also, any plans for the 5th?
 
It's quiet at the moment but a few of us will be back for the DLC, Don't know if there's any plans think we all crack on with the campaign and then make plans after all that's done so probably be later in the week.
