*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Full run through on my warlock last night (normal), absolutely nothing for him :-(

Did all of hard mode on my 30 hunter and picked up the shotgun which has full-auto mode, and vex mythoclast from Atheon, woop! :)

Wasn't wanting to hit 29 on my lock with current gear, but will have to if I want to do hard mode each week on him too. Boo! :p

Do you guys in the reserves, and any others that are interested, want to do the raid tonight? There's three of us already. Shouldn't be that hard to get three more.

How does 8.00 sound?

I'd be interested in doing this. I've never done it on hard though, so if you'd rather have more experienced people, that's understandable.

Level 29 Hunter

As an aside, is there much benefit to upgrading gear if it doesn't result in a level increase? e.g. I have raid chest armour sitting at 22 that I could upgrade to 30 but I'd still be 3 light short of level 30. It'd bump my defence rating up a bit but not sure if that has much material benefit.

I have done it on normal already this week so wont get anything but I am interested in doing it on hard. Happy to run through normal again though to get in on the hard run.

Edit: Forgot to add, level 29 Warlock.

Have you got a secondary character that you could use so you still get loot on a new normal run? If not, we could try to do a hard run after our normal run, but thing is I think most of us will be 28s, so I don't know if it will be too difficult?

Anyway, provisional lineup:

1. kissenger
2. Oweneades
3. Greboth
4. mid_gen
5. Trixter (if he's up for it)
6. ???
 
Second Exotic Helmet from Xur, ANOTHER hunter helmet.

5 hard raids and no raid Helmet either, looks like another week of being 29. Over this game!

I do have a secondary, unfortunately only level 8 or 9 so don't think I could get it through the raid :p Yeah I think with 28s and 29s we could get to Atheon but the conflux and that damn pretorian on venus is going to be ridiculously difficult.

Edit: I'll try hard but put me on the reserve for normal as I don't want to take someones spot if they will get rewards.

Hey is these 2 spots still free? If so could me and my brother join, we are both 28 warlocks (secondaries) and have done the raid a few times now and not had any bother with our mains.

My PSN is Videotrap. I'm a bit late getting home from work so might have to push back kickoff until 8.30 though.
 
excellent - that's enough for two groups then for 2nite by the looks of it kissenger :)
I feel bad having people as reserves and for them not to be able to play!
