We can do the whole thing from the start again on the reset, and maybe before if people want to. I don't mind helping and getting more experience doing it!
With you, we only need two more. Trying to get a core group of people so it will be easier.
If anyone wants to do it, give us a shout!

First time I did it was an hour and a half, that was with 3 others who had done it before, one of which had all the tactics all sorted and organised everyone else really well, so it can be done nice and quick!

found a really nice step by step walkthrough thats worth a watch
myself Martin & nuts will be doing it again next week so you'll definitely be coming with us
watching a step-by-step walkthrough before attempting the raid for yourself completely ruins all the challenge of the raid in the first place.
i don't recommend watching any guide videos unless you have been wiping on the same spot for 1hr+ first..

Well I'm free pretty much every night from 7-11ish so you can count on me and it might be a bit easier for me with my shiny new legendary void fusion rifle.
The only part that was irritating last night was when it kept throwing me back through the gate, four times in a row! Still not sure why..
People complain about Destiny's lack of content then ruin the best bit of content before they get to experience it first hand - its a bizarre need to complete the raid for the sake of it ('omg guyz look at me Im level 30 epenis!1!') and not to enjoy it for what it is and rely on your own brains to work out what to do yourself.
I had great enjoyment helping out the raid team yesterday and tried to only give pointers and hints when it was obvious they were getting frustrated. It was just nice to hear people try it and at some points come up with better ideas then when I did it the first time...

I had to read up on the gate keeper stuff before the final boss, I wasn't really sure what was going on once coming out of the past/future worlds.
We ended up sending a three man team into one portal, taking the gate keeper down a slither of health, then killing the second gate keeper. As relic holder I went to start defending the centre while a single person went into the first portal to finish the gate keeper and get second relic, few minutes of fighting after and that was done.

I think there's a few bugs with them, I find walking through the portals slowly instead of running/sprinting helps. It's quite easy to walk through them and back again I found too, it's annoying when it screws up!
No worries. I did discover something, which makes defending the outside a bit safer. Although as Martin says I think the portals were as big a danger to our party as Aethon was...
The supplicants have a real problem with pathing around the portals. Essentially they won't go through the middle of a closed portal, the player can move back and forth and it completely confuses them. However, if one has started its charge explosion attack it can and will still dive through.
Obviously once the portal has been opened to get the away team back you can't use this strategy. But it should be a fall-back anyway. The 3 supplicants in each alternating wave near Aethon are easy to predict and kill before they get up the steps.

Agreed. I was pleased with our groups attempts, we took 2 nights and worked out a lot of it ourselves. I sort of regret researching the chest locations, but I would probably have missed 2/3 or spent hours searching every nook.
I'm massively looking forward to more raid content and completing VoG on hard.

Well I'd be happy to join in with an Xbone raid group again next week after the reset. Managed to go through it last night for the first time recruiting a group from the Bungie forum. I never had enough response in here or even through posting on the clan message thingy.
All I got for my troubles was the white shader last night and the materials, which, were nice though I guess!
