*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

wonder how long it will take for somebody to complete it.

It took Primeguard 14 hours with the vault of glass, but that was back when not everybody had decent gear. Now, everybody has raid weapons from the VOG that help in Crotas End, and all the serious contenders will be bringing all level 30 raiding parties all with their try hard pants on.

I'll be watching the bungie twitter feed during the day to see how long it takes for somebody to complete it.

Awesome, I hate wizards. I have a 300 attack RL (Steel Oracle) and Icebreaker. Sadly I havn't got VoC from the VoG yet... Piphal has received two and broke one down in front of me... :( I do have a fully upgraded Suros though so I should be fine.

I know with VoG I just use the same weapons now in every run so going to be interesting running a raid and not being sure I have the best weapons class. Though thinking I will start with VoC, Icebreaker for solar and run an arc heavy :)

I have run VoG so many times and still get turned around in some of the dark caves bits so going to be fun trying to find our way if there are similar bits.
 
29 Titan up for some HM VoG if anything is happening tonight and available tomorrow for Crota/VoG/whatever!

Do you know what sort of time you guys are stopping at?
I have work the next day, so don't really wanna be up after 12.

If you guys are going hard, let your friends have the slot, and I will just get started on gearing up and checking out the other new content etc.
 
Ok, I totally get why pickup groups don't want 29s after we tried Templar on hard earlier. At 29 you just can't bust out of the containment field quick enough to do any damage.

Oh well, should have at least one 30 by tomorrow....

get relic holder to help people stuck in containment field after he takes boss shield down and GG.

if you have a 300 atk primary, just empty the clip and you should be ok.

you don't *need* to be lvl 30 to do hard mode VoG, but it helps ;)

it's probably quite possible to do it with 6x lvl 29's with 300 atk weapons, as long as communication and strategy is good (hell it's probably possible with <300 atk weapons, just makes it even harder)

we just weren't doing enough damage to him bud, am still going in to the VoG even after CE comes out i just hope theres people that still want to do that raid
 
I'm in a group of 3 x 30s and 2x29. Need another 30 to finish off atheon on hard if anyone wants to jump in right now?

As we're starting at 7:30 I think midnight is a fair stopping point :)

Right, hate to do yet another u-turn but we're both now available to run the raid tomorrow. This is definitely going ahead.

We currently have:

1) Moon-EU- - 30 Hunter
2) TowerZ_UK - 30 Hunter
3) SiR0_v2 - 29 Warlock
4)
5)
6)

Will start between 7 and 8pm. Who wants in?

I think I will be test running different combos tonight until I get a good feel for what bit needs what weapon. My initial lineup will be either:

Atheons Epilogue / Icebreaker / Arc Swarm

or;

Suros Regime / Epitaph 2261 (Solar) / Arc Swarm

Whilst my AE isn't ideal for the raid (void burn...) it does have the Oracle disruptor which should penetrate the knights dark shield. It was also cutting through the thralls and Acolytes in yesterdays daily heroic at level 30.
 
I'm considering doing VoG normal double run tonight instead of CE, if I can't get one of mine to 30 in time.

Guess we will find out in an hour or so what the vendor gear is like, will probably nip home at lunch and see what's going on :)

Going to be really hard to not watch twitch streams at work.....
