There are still people doing the older raids, but you don't specifically need the gear from VoG to do the newer stuff. The VoG armour caps out at level 30, so you can easily buy better armour from the various vendors in the tower. What you do want to try to get are the weapons. Even though they're only 300 attack, weapons like Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence and Corrective Measure are still some of the best weapons in the game. They're definitely worth doing VoG for.Just a question. My friend and I have only just started playing Destiny on PS4, only level 12 at the moment. When we get to 30+, are there still people doing the older raids (Vault of Glass?), and do we need to do them to get the gear for the newer ones?
Thanks!
Edit: You could do the VoG on normal level around level 25 quite easily, especially if you have some experienced friends to carry you through (I've carried a level 23 through it before). Crota's End can be attempted at level 27, and again you could easily be taken through that. Numerous people (myself being one of them) can solo the entire Crota raid, so that's a good one to do if you're happy to be dragged through it
