what if you need to use 2 rockets 1 after another. doesn't the re-loading part take too much time? i thought tripod, javelin, hard launch (possibly heavy payload) and grenades and horseshoes was the perfect roll for trials. for normal crucible though you probably want clown cartridge.

cluster bombs i agree are terrible. you want grenades and horseshoes for pre-firing, aiming at feet or beside them if they are in cover. tracking makes it easier to dodge behind cover.

Edit: Psycho that was my thinking with Tripod. If cluster bombs are that bad then I think I will re-roll again until I get either clown cartridge with Grenades or Tripod with Grenades.

My Radegast has Aggressive Launch, Clown Cartridge, Javelin, G&H, so max blast radius and almost max velocity and I find it works well in both ToO and Crucible, you just have to be slightly mindful when reloading

I've tried re-rolling my ash factory for Tripod, Javelin, G&H, but 250+ motes of light later still not got it to drop

Really looking forward to IB again, slightly less stressful than ToO and you can have some fun in it as well

Love me a bit of IB! I'm away Friday-Sunday but hopefully will be able to level up pretty quickly once I'm back. Although will be keen to give Trials a proper go, too, as definitely bored of not having the exotic emblem when everyone else seems to have it!

Anyone up for the nightfall?? Should be on for about 9-ish tonight. Also might be up for some poe lvl 34 if anyone is interested. Xbox one.

I prefer the tripod and proximity combination as its a guaranteed 4 rockets with a heavy ammo perk on your armour, three without it.

I reckon if you're running clown cartridge, you probably want to try and get one of speed reload perks on the middle set, especially if it's only one in the tube by default.

I have a LGH rolled very similar too my HB, HB has slight higher Aim assist, any higher and I find its too much and HB can kill people res'd in ToO which is the best part. I got my HB from the big chest, if you have some spare keys I would just keep trying, I also got 3 junk fusion rifles.

I picked up HB yesterday from the big chest so I should give it a go in PVP. I will have to compare it against my Spear, Longbow & PR.

I guess it comes down to personal choice on play style.

When playing with 1 in the chamber radegast I try and stay back when the heavy pops, and just keep watching the points you can cover easily with a prospective rocket down a corridor / behind cover and let the proximity take them out.

Tripod + grenades and horseshoes is good in that it means you can enter straight into the fray and fire off 3 without having to reload, but if you're sitting back and playing cautiously with the heavy, you can take full advantage of the heavy and have rockets long after everybody else has lost theirs.

In all honesty I have both types now. I have the trials rocket launcher with tripod and proximity as well as a radegast with clown cartridge and proximity. That way you can have one for each play style depending upon how you want to play.

yeah i got trials launcher and messenger on all 3 characters.

i also have a radegast on hunter, dreamwaker on warlock and ash factory on titan. all with tripod and G&H.

gjally on each character too.

pointless me having all of them but I etheric'd the radegast so i'll keep that and scrap dreamwaker and ash factory.

got a perfect roll party crasher and i'm short on weapon parts so i need to wait to try and get my matador and 2 benevolence snipers on decent rolls. also got a second party crasher which i want to roll with kneepads on for aggressive play.

i just don't like how tedious it is having to swap weapons about. i have a felwinters with a perfect roll apart from the first perk it's grenadier ideally it should be the ammo one imo. I have another with a perfect roll apart from shot package it has range finder, so this is the one i'll try and roll for the perfect one and keep the other as backup in case I don't get it.

it's getting crazy now having 7 shotguns for PVP but all of them are slightly different.

I'm going to be a dirty Thorn user in Iron Banner this time.

Got it fully upgraded but haven't had a chance to roll it out yet. I might also make it a point to t-bag on all kills (even if I'm losing) just for the hell of it.

Decided to re-roll my Judgement5 for the first time since I also have been short on weapon parts and managed to get a decent roll on the 3rd or 4th try.

Very happy with it

Void - accurized Ballistics,Shotpackage, reinforced barrel, Knee pads. It will do for now and tbh is a very nice shotgun to use.

I got almost the exact same roll on my Party Crasher after one attempt - got Aggressive Ballistics instead of Accurized. It's relegated my Felwinter's to the vault now

I use iron banner to fully level weapons rather than use fully levelled ones already. You only need to win 1 in 6 matches so no point going try hard.

Last time I managed to fully level quite a few guns and armour.

I pick up every iron banner and crucible bounty, use telemetrys the lot. It's amazing what you can level up in a week.

I think I'll try and level all my exotic shotguns plus armour this time around.

Have you tried Destiny Item Manager extension for Google Chrome? You can literally drag and drop weapons, armour, everything from one character to the other in real time (takes a couple of seconds for the change to appear in game).

I think it's best to level 1 character to 5 ASAP whilst still doing the bounties only on the others every day.

That way you get a boost on your other characters.

e.g. I'll play with my Hunter first and do all the bounties. Then my warlock then my titan. Then go back and play solely on the Hunter. repeat that every day until the Hunter is 5. Then play on Warlock more than Titan to get it to 5 quicker. Ideally you want to keep your main a couple of levels ahead of the other 2 for the boost to work.

It depends on whether you need to do bounties or not. It's worth doing them across 3 characters to level all your weapons. Otherwise focus one 1 til 5 then the next and then the next.

Only thing to add to Psycho's advice is to remember to buy the boosts and have shaders, emblem and class item equipped.

They haven't released the companion app on all phones yet :confused:

I am amazed Destiny has been out this long without apps for all phone OS's.

For me it is easy as my PC is next to where I am gaming (well if I use my second PS4 that is). I should really use my windows tablet more but I always forget about it until after I have used the PC...

Ultimately it is a balancing act. More of this sort of thing should really be built directly into the game.
