*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

We gave up running IB and ran VoG, even in that drops were taking a long time to drop. At the end we managed to kill Atheon before we got the gatekeeper drops then had to wait a few minutes for the Atheon drops.

Was a good raid though, got Atheon down in one teleport which I have never been in a party to do that. Didn't get the boots I wanted though :( need legendary boots with Int+Dis and heavy ammo perk.
 
Yeah that lag was dirty last night, I could't open doors, pick up ammo or anything. They really need to fix this, its becoming unplayable now, and destiny keep pretending it snot an issue.
 
Forgot to say, had some luck with re-rolling too. Took 2 rolls to get my radegats with Hard launch, Tripod, Heavy Payload and G&H. Also about 10 re-rolls of Party Crasher got me Aggressive Ballistics, Rangefinder, Rifled Barrel and LiTC. Neither absolutely perfect rolls but 3 out of 4 on both so think I will stick with these.

Just need to sort out a sniper now :)

Edit: Just looked on reddit, I already have 2 LGH and 2 Her Benevolence so need to get re-rolling.

I wasn't aware of that with rangefinder and rifled barrel. I am aware of people rolling 100's of times and not getting the roll they wanted so happy to stop at one is pretty decent. I think I have 2 PC+1's so might re-roll the second one so if it keeps coming up rubbish I still have this one.

I rarely use snipers in PvP so will have to have a go with them to decide which one I actually like.

Yup NF is easy this week, Gjallahorns and sniepr soon take him down.

Shame the weekly isn't as easy, Omnigul with no burn is nasty :(

Yeah sounds like a good idea, I'm not a huge shotgun fan but I have a solid PC+1. For snipers it really is down to how it feels, I'm find HB to be amazing, best PVP sniper I've used, I'm getting pretty good at just quickly scoping in popping heads.
 
I'm at the point where I simply can't be bothered to run weeklies unless they have a burn (or weapon modifier). There is only piece of Exotic armour I need now to complete the sets (purifier robes) and I have more than enough coins for when/if Xur sells it.

Old Phoggy though was a cakewalk. So much fun not having Arc burn on that strike!

Shot package is essential yes.

While range finder and rifled barrel will hit the range cap, what it wont do is focus the pellet spread, and at max range the pellets spread out wider than than a Guardian at that range, so you wont get a one hit kill.

Shot package will not only give you added range, but focuses the spread, so gives you the extended one hit kill range.

last IB I had like 10 different shot guns drop, Felwinters, partery crashers, Matadors, its not that hard to roll the right perks, what I found frustrating was rolling the right perks AND different elements.

All mine ended up with sweet perks, but all ark/void/
 
Luckily the Matador I had drop in the middle of a match (lag FTW! :p) has shot package. I will have to test it out in PVP. Whether it will ever replace my Found Verdict remains to be seen.

I keep running weeklies as when I came back to Destiny following HoW I burnt through all my coins. I am back up to about 50 I think but Xur has a couple of good weekends or if I need to buy motes for re-rolling then could easily burn through them.

Primarily all about IB this week, I still have stuff to upgrade and stuff I need to get which will require updating. I need moar light!

Urgh! If it is that important then more re-rolling for me then :( Not so fussed on elemental damage, I have PvE guns so these rolls are mostly for PvP only.

Edit: 12 rolls and I got it perfect :D Aggressive ballastics, shot package, reinforced barrel and litc. I am happy with that roll :D

Found verdict is underrated in PvP. People obsess over getting the best range roll on a shotgun, but in reality the numbers you miss a OHK because of range is minuscule compared to the times you miss a kill because of RoF. I'm still a big fan of FV and Rude Awakening DOA.

Foubd verdict was my go to shotgun but with everyone saying the new ones are better, I figure I should give them a try. It is hard getting used to the slower rate of fire though, the amount of times I have tried to fire a second round and couldn't.

Lol! I've one all mine mate but if you need a buddy to run them then give me a shout. you can leave the kisses though, at least on the first date.

You lucky so and so :mad::p. Me and solace were not impressed one single bit, all I got from the legendary engram was some new machine gun called sawtooth oscillator. I'll probably level it up then dismantle it, got too many damn machine guns!!! Lol

All I wanted was the freakin gally, gahhh I hate destiny with a passion at times :D
