I've got a purifier knocking around somewhere....pre-HoW though so not rollable and has terrible perks. Performance bonus, send it, who's next :/ Praetorian Foil has an insane kill range though

Was having fun doing some patrols earlier with Monte Carlo + Soul Rip + Obsidian Mind, quite an entertaining space magic combo

Talking about raids reminds me of a terrible experience I had on Saturday. Decided to help out some randoms after receiving a concise invite whilst in the tower.

A level 31 needed help from Gatekeepers in VoG. He already had 4 other "helpers" level 32+.

I dropped in and immediately set about solo'ing the left gate. Came out and went centre to protect the conflux. After what felt like 5 minutes of Minotaur killing I realised they STILL hadn't gone through to get the other relic. They were just arsing about killing Praetorians.

Finally another player got the idea and we got through to Atheon.

Five wipes later and I had had enough. Either no one was listening to me or they couldn't hear me but seriously, shoot the red ****ing glowing things.... Mind you this assumes they even made it to a teleport. On three attempts two of them tried standing in the middle shooting Atheon at the start...

All level 31+ on VoG NORMAL mode....

Interesting how Trials has evolved from being a cautious snipe-fest to mostly shotgun rushes.

nope.

I went flawless 3 times over the weekend and without a sniper in the team it would have been very difficult.

Picking then pushing is still the favoured tactic. Well it's what we did anyway and we came up against a lot of teams sniping

The only time I used a shotgun was for when I knew they were around a corner or for putting down ressers or revives.

If you don't have a good sniper within your team of 3 then your putting yourself at a disadvantage IMO.

That's pretty bad on normal mode. HM catches a lot of LFG groups out thinking it's going to be a walk in the park at level 34, but NM? Ouch.

The most useful weapon is probably Lord Of Wolves....Queenbreaker's Bow and Dreg's Promise are quite fun to use though.

7 hours, ouch! I've only done it twice, longest was half an hour or so. With the right strat and patience it's fairly low-risk now. Will be a walk in the park after TTK launches too.

Yes it was painful. We had the strat down for Skolas and we came close a couple of times and then suddenly we were overwhelmed with enemies and died. It shows the power of having lvl 365 guns (I don't have any primaries at 365 yet - I have my athelon Epilogue (auto rifle + void burn) at 350 but need more ascendant energy to max it out, although that didn't help against the fallen who had arc shields, so had to use the arc auto rifle that I got from a crota run (I say run I joined at the final checkpoint) which was only 300 which was like hitting them with a pea shooter.

Ah yeah not having the gear will be a problem. Really need a decent arc shotgun or at least fusion to deal with captains or anything else that gets up on the platform.

I'll be on to rinse through some NFs in half an hour or so if anyone is online and wants them done...

Yeah it was painful. I am so used to running with good groups that I forget you can have people who are level 31+ and yet have not even beaten Atheon.

HM I can understand to a degree as there is less room for error, but NM is a relative cake walk.

the top weapons for POE are thorn(small arms), vex (specialist), fatebringer, vision of confluence, found verdict, icebreaker, black hammer, 4th horseman, dry wrot, super good advice (containment) and gjallahorn.

all fully levelled and 365.

this is the main problem with end game content a lot of people think you can do it if your the right level with unlevelled weapons or any weapon.

i've had to quit many random VOG raids because nobody had the right weapons or they weren't levelled. trying to kill oracles with a unlevelled fatebringer? wtf? someone using monte carlo on oracles too.

you should be focusing on VOG (to get the best guns), bounties (to level said guns) and POE 34 (etheric light) first before attempting the POE 35.

you would have done the full thing in about an hour then.

Well I have a max'd gally but I have none of the other weapons. It is only recently that I have started to do the raids. So I am hoping to get some nice drops this evening.

I have only started using hand cannons over the weekend and it has taken a bit of getting used to (I'm more of a scout rifle user) but I can see why it is generally the weapon of choice for a lot of people especially on pvp. I am just glad I had my KellSlayers armour boost on for the last round as it saved my bacon on more than one occasion even if I didn't have my usual second grenade from the exotic I usually have on.

I still have 3 etheric lights to use so once I get some good weapons with decent perks then I will be using them if I need too.

Here's another one to add to the painful things that happen on LFG groups...

This week's nightfall, Cerberus Vae solar burn. Doing the strike without dying bounty so playing safe. Get to the last part and decide to just clear the adds outside the ship rather than sparrowing through. Fireteam leader sparrows through and then dies in the next zone. Back to orbit. Guy doesn't respond and ragequits.

Don't think my couple of beers beforehand help much either Would have been nice to get a flawless in before TTK but never mind. Think I'm going to main a sunbreaker titan for PvP, and up mysensitivity and practice with shotguns. Interesting how Trials has evolved from being a cautious snipe-fest to mostly shotgun rushes.

Going to switch to TTK prep mode now and get some factions edged, stash public event rewards, marks etc.
