Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Square Enix Reveal new Deus Ex)

Not had to many issues so far one crash and seeing 7.2GB of V-Ram usage. It runs very well for me at 1440p single 1070. It looks and runs noticeably better that the PS4 version so a decent port on this one.

I'm a bit stuck on a side mission but think I need to have a higher hacking level to continue as cannot find any other way in.

I think it's a wonderful game and I have spent hours just exploring it really makes you want to go everywhere and see what could be hidden. I'm still a bit confused with the aug's and spent my points adding back in a few but not sure if I should have saved some or not now. The menu system can be a bit confusing and my inventory is always full and I'm not sure what I should be keeping.

If it's a door / lock you are hacking, use a multitool. That's what I've been doing while exploring.

might be the CPU, it's old. A 2500k @ 4.6 under water

My steam clock shows 13 hours now and I still have so much to explore in Prague. Love finding all the hidden stuff :D

Was funny when I hit a punch bag and a hidden door opened. lol.

Won't be your CPU, that CPU may be old, but still good enough for most games if not all at that OC. Benchmarks show the game does not require that much CPU.

It won't be lack of power from the CPU but if he's been running that 4.6 O/C for its life they can begin to wear a little and the clocks become unstable, dropping it 100/200mhz will sort it.

Or can give it a little bit more juice. That is what happened to me also actually. After about 1 year of using it I was losing stability. Upped the Vcore ever so slightly, it has been rock solid the past 2 years :D

Did an FPS test last night. 2560x1440, max settings but with MSAA turned off, I average about 50fps. I see better performance in TW3 and GTA v, but at least it's very much playable.

cant compare different games on different engines, not really apples to apples
this game uses Hitman engines, which is not very "generous" to our systems :D
im glad i got 1070,no problems with performance at all,and i still need to do fresh W10 install, last time i did was like 8-9months ago :o

Trying to avoid to do main story, but seems i have no other choice atm :(

you should look MORE carefully in that place for more hidden things ;)

im having very strong vibes from original DE while playing MD,its so epic

In Millers apartment now. Cannot find anything else. Something I am missing? Here is what I found:

Punch bag opened the door, floor panel and vent. Anything else? :p

There is a lot more I found in the whole building it's self. But that is it for Millers room. Like on 3rd floor behind the shower there is a hidden place :D

Died a few times looking in that vent which had electric. Nothing there and I have been on both sides. lol

True. I'm actually playing through Hitman as well and the performance issues also exist in that game. The main thing I dislike about the Glacier 2 engine on which Dawn is based, is its seeming inability to accurately render (or render at all...?) manipulatable fabrics such as curtains. They usually only exist as solid objects. As appears to be the case in Mankind Divded.

Ok 24 hours later, brilliant game is brilliant. Why did they shoot themselves in the foot by the default settings be so obviously broken? Why on earth did they turn on all those graphical options that provide virtually zero visual improvements and only kill performance? Getting slaughtered on Steam because of it and it’s so needless, especially after they seemed to have gotten all the hard things right in the game!

Now that I have the game performing properly, a day later, early impressions are that it is everything we hoped for, except for perhaps some dodgy dialogue. A masterful technical achievement, looks stunning, performs fine (after you fix it). Really should not have to do so much testing and tweaking with a AAA title though (although I normally do not buy game son launch anymore so maybe this is what you get for being an early adopter: bug-testing work). Looks like many ordinary users were so put off they have gotten refunds and will not play the game now. Such a shame, it looks brilliant so far and it is only getting better and better.

Ergh spent almost an hour searching for a way up to a higher level waypoint before finally giving in and checking a guide. Turns out the netcode I needed was in a log I'd already picked up but forgot to check :D.

Steam "slaughterhouse" is totally ridiculous,to many n00bs from consoles who dont even know what Depth of Field or Volumetric Lightning is - i actually like that you need to do some research on your own to make your game perform at best, kinda old school.
Problem with today is that every Joe and his grandmas dog can be "critics" - YT,Steam, reddit,GAF full of such "critics",if they to lazy to move mouse and need others to do some testing for them they shouldnt be playing on PC - sorry for rant lol
I have all consoles myself, but only for certains games which not exist on PC (wasnt existed at least),but im playing games since 1985 i think, old fart, and i hate those kids crying over such small things.
Rant over :D
Game is masterpiece,so far my GOTY

Working away all week so wont get a chance to play this til the weekend.

Can anyone sum up with a list of optimal graphics settings that I should set to get decent performance on a GTX970, so that I can minimize the amount of time fiddling when I get to playing it

Was just on the way to a mission and got side-tracked by the Palisade(sp) bank. Two hours later I've cleared the top floor and disabled a lot of the guards and security systems (all stealth) but still can't get into the vaults.

It's that type of game. :)

Ding dong, my copy of Deus Ex Black Light just arrived :D

Oooh.. Starts off in Alaska. Might find out how Adam got his abilities then.. :D

you need a keycard and once you get some information in a hidden room it leads through a vent right behind the vault sensors and you can walk strait in cloaked
