Devil May Cry Official Thread

Played up to level 3 I think.

Very nice looking game but kinda dull if you ask me. At least so far anyway.

well have just got home and my copy of DMC is here. I ordered the collectors edition. Haven't played it yet but plan to have a go tonight.

Having never played a DMC game before this should hopefully be something different for me.
 
I've forgotten how awful these types of games are with the typical American "cocky college boy" accent that they use in the translation from Japanese. All this "slam dunk!" rubbish will get on my nerves, I'm sure.

As others have said, a bit dull so far. Nothing spectacular. With the install and intro video, it's 30 minutes before you even get a chance to play!!!!

Oh yes :)

Its one of the things that is really doing my head in atm, but not as much as them changing the ranking system at the end of each mission. It was perfect in DMC3 and now they've gone and "improved" it =/

same here, i never even had a PS2 i used to play at a friends house, loved it cant wait for my 360 to come tommorow and buy the game from town with mass effect :cool:
 
This is my first DMC and Im loving it, up to mission 7. A few minor camera annoyances and the usual japanese game thing where half the time you spend watching cutscenes. Other than that though excellent.
 
Got mine today and loving it!!! To all the people new to the series try to play the frist DMC if Possible, it's an absolute awsome game.

Just beat Dante, my god that was difficult, seemed a MASSIVE jump up from every other boss. Felt like he countered every frickin move.
 
Just popped it in and watched the game intro and played the first tutorial bit.

All I can say is wow, really brings back the memories from DMC1 and the intro I think is just awesome.

Really love this type of game can't wait to get stuck into it now.
 
Just got my copy on my lunch break

Opted for the 360 version due to it being able to output in 1080p compared to the PS3's 720p

An extra 5 seconds loading time each stage is hardly going to bother me

I did want to get it on the PS3 so I actually have a reason to turn it on, but I'd rather be using my nice shiny TV to its fullest

It's the first bit of computer game related clothing I have got (except for a really old Tekken 3 t-shirt I won). I hope this is not the start of a slippery slope.!!!

TTIUWP but the t-shirt is just black with a small blue logo, generice, fruit of the loom, thing, nothing flashy. NOTHING TO SEE HERE :)
