Not ideal, but a cheap stopgap motherboard that you can sell on in a month is also an option. Would mean losing £10-20 here and there in the process though. Personally I'm not too fussed as it just gives me more time to earn myself some more cash and I'll be waiting till after A Level results day anyway.

Let's just hope they've solved the problems with the X38 and X48 boards, like Crossfire not working.

haha im not to fussed about crossfire yet, I just want to go back to DFI for my next build, and my latest build happens to be a v350b under water, I think this would go perfectly.

from the looks of it there is a DDR2 and DDR3 version of the board coming out (more googleing, one is designated the T2RS the DDR3 version is T3RS.

The T2RS was at computex not the 3 however.

Yeah you can tell the difference by the slightly different heatpipe coolers. Think we're expecting a P43 version as well, so a similar board but with no crossfire/second pci-e 16x slot.

ah me wants been goooogling this for weeks trying to find better pictures and some reviews, all i can say is bye bye gx2 when this bad boy comes out and hello crossfire

Very little. Some still say that launch of the Jr. series is second week july, so next week if it's true.

Cool hope ocuk get stock. Just out of curiosity do u take much of a performance hit running 8x/8x crossfire opposed to full 16x/16x crossfire?

Varies on the cards. I'm pretty sure I saw one place saying there isn't much of a drop with the 4850s.
I would think the drop would be even less with high resolutions as you are more limited by the gpu, than how much data the graphics card can take in from the rest of the system.
