Crossfire didn't work, at all. Pretty big problem on an X48 board, and apparantly a common one if you see the thread at DFI-street about the subject.

It works just fine on my X48 too - I'm not sure what happened to you?

Crashing, blue screening, instability. Totally random as well - sometimes it would go for days and other times it would barely load a game.

It was mainly with my 3870X2, but I also borrowed a pair of X1950 Pros from a friend, and I got the same result. I tried my card in his machine, and it was fine. I tried a single X1950 Pro, and the problems suddenly disappeared!

In the end the board just died, I came to turn it on one day and it wouldn't boot. So maybe the board was faulty. But it's certainly odd it showed all the symptoms other people were/are having with it, for the 6 weeks or so I used it.

Sounds like u had some bad luck matey, have u rmad it ?

I didn't think that was a hardware problem - I thought that whole X2 thing with CrossfireX was a driver issue?

bah I'll end up buying the gigabyte board and this will hit the shelves a week later :-/

Still the performance of my watercooled Asus p5e-vm HDMI with QX9650 will Whooooop ** ass :P (granted it would cost a fair bit more :D) and when I say fair I mean a hell of a lot, but the same results could be acheived with a E8500 for better comparison to your setup.

well ive been running the new sapphire 780g board with my 5000+ black edition @ 3.2ghz!, used to have a 775 setup with the fatal1ty f-190hd and an E4400, but was really buggy and had **** hd playback, running on air aswell! im looking to get a wolfdale soon hopefully this will be the start of many more decent matx 775 mobos to come!

another shameless bump, anyone heard anything or I think I'm going for the Gigabyte DS2R.
