Looks like a good price (stateside) so its going to be ££ over here :( Still its the only good solution for what i want around so...well the price must be paid //salute.

Come on OCUK Mods, when is stock arriving ;)

Yep just spotted this as well from both OcUK and the other one. If it's in stock with OcUK tomorrow, I should be nabbing one of these along with a Silverstone SG03. :)

I'm sticking with the P5Q-EM myself, comments from owners of this show that it's as flakey as any other DFI board and the PCIe 2.0 slots are fixed at 8x.

By fixed at 8x/8x, do you mean it's not possible to make it 16x/0x? That would suck :( thinking of basing a LAN party box around this board...

My LP JR P45 T2R arrived this morning. I'll get some photos up and some overclocking asap. I'll have a look at this PCI-E 16x or 8x/8x issue as well

All up and running. DFI's Smart Connectors were very helpful as well. Booted first time, no problems with the board at all.

It'd appear as though both PCI-E slots are capped at 8x.

So far, I'm up and running at the 2.8GHz 24/7 clock I had on my previous board. Shall see how far I can go but I suspect my RAM will limit my efforts considerably.

More nood pix needed :p especially if there's anything exciting in the bundle!

The PEG slot arrangement sucks - any idea if it's hardwired or something they may be able to resolve in future BIOS revisions?

I can't see how DFI incorporated such an arrangement intentionally. I'm hoping it's something that might be fixed with a future BIOS update.

Bundle is fairly decent. Comes with all the standard stuff. UV coated IDE cables, SATA cables, I/O Shield, Manuals and the smart connectors. Nothing much less than you'd expect from such a board

Really need some PC2-8500 as far as I'm aware, I've hardly pushed my L629B E6300 anywhere near what it's capable of ever since I bought it over a year ago. :o

Tempted by this board but the only real thing it'd give me over my Gigabyte is Crossfire, and that would mean I would feel "obliged" to get another 4870! ;)

[Edit] Then i'd have to get an external sound card as my Xonar wouldn't fit.

Update-

Flashed the BIOS to the latest and after spending a few minutes wondering why all the BIOS settings on a DFI board made sense to me, pressing F9 enabled "Advanced Mode".

I'm now at 429*7 for 3.00GHz with the following settings

NB Strap - 1333MHz
CPU Voltage - 1.225V
Memory - 1:1, 859MHz
CPU VTT - 1.25V
NB Core - 1.35V
CPU GTL Ref - 0.61x
NB GTL Ref - 0.67x
Timings - 5-5-5-18-35 2T
Performance Level - 9

Running ORTHOS blend at the moment and all seems ok for the moment.

I'm using a Scythe Ninja Plus. As the footprint of the Ninja is so small at the bottom, it fits just fine. I've seen photos of this board along with a Thermalright Ultra 120 but as you'd imagine it's mounted with the fan facing the ceiling of the case.

I ordered mine yesterday afternoon, should be with me tomorrow also. Will see how well it handles my E0 Q9550. Will be going under water in my v350b along with an 8800GTS.
Watch this space.

Sounds like quite the little beast, let us know how you get on!

I seem to be closing in on a brick wall due to my memory. Going to keep fine tuning to see how much further I can go.
