dfi-rd580 crossfire due soon? (gibbo?)

I think that's the standard clock setting, but you can go upto 690/800 using the CCC overdrive facility. Rumour has it that CCC loosens up latencies to achieve the overclock. ATItool is an alternative but is tricky when running Crossfire, you have to change too many things manually to get it to work.

There were a few cards (reportedly) released with the 1.1ns ram, these were supposed to be an earlier revision of the boards.
I doubt anyone is making use of anything over 690/800 running Crossfire, I have searched many threads but have never seen any really high clocks with the mastercard, no matter what type of cooling is used.

Also when using Crossfire and CCC you can't overclock the XTX slave card any further than it's default, so I suppose you could give it a nudge with ATItool if using water.

Well I managed 270 htt @ 1:1 with the Corsair 3500LL pro this morning, for the first time on this board, seems quite stable too. Off for some gaming just to see how it holds up..

I only posted this because some people have problems hitting higher than 260 htt with dual cores. I managed 270 solid as a rock, considering the rams specced for 216mhz that's not bad. There is good overclock potential in this board.

Help needed,

My Marvell Yukon 88E8052 PCI-E ASF Gigabit Ethernet has started to reporting error message limited or no Connectivity. Been Ok for over two weeks and now this problem.

I switched to the other Ethernet port, all working ok,

I have reloaded drivers, loaded xp2 patch, switch cables with no luck to fix this problem

Thanks

Simon

I have found the 6.3 CATs and BIOS R5UD417 the most stable so far when overclocking. I was having random lock ups with the latest drivers and its rock stable now with the above at 240FSB 1:1

I am currently using GeIL PC4400 UltraX TCCD, any ideas what memory settings would be best with this?

Hi,

got my case and watercooling sorted, picked up a modified Lian Li PC70, anodised red, black powder coat internal. The work was done my a fellow enthusiast, however he had to sell due to the purchase of a car.

tried to wire as neat as possible, the pump position is not ideal, but it'll do for now.

cost me a small fortune, the pictures do the finish no justice.

Nice one Raja , looks good have you had better clocks since ?
btw i just got back from a course in Eaton Socon i think its called cant be far away from you i recon :)

Has anyone managed to get working any DOS based HDD imaging software working while their HDDs are on the ULi chipset?

I've got three HDDs on the ULi chipset, two in RAID 0 and one on it's own, and when I either boot up using the Acronis boot up CD or BartPE, I can't see any of my HDDs. I haven't tried it on the SIL controller as I don't want lose everything 'cause it takes ages setting Windows up the way I like it.

EDIT: Seems the DOS based programs don't like the ULi RAID, can see a single disk though.

Its a difficult one, as i know when i use a single drive i have to set it to IDE mode for any dos based utility to work.

I wouldnt have thought this possible with Raid.

If you use Nortan Ghost , it does give you an option to load up Sata drivers in dos, so you could go down that route.
