**DGM 27" LED IPS 2560x1440 ONLY £319.99 Inc. VAT (PRE-ORDER PRICE ONLY)!!**

I missed the deal but ordered anyway as I still thought it was a great price but I'm having to RMA the screen due to backlight bleeding issues. A little "IPS glow" is probably to be expected but to me mine seemed way over the top especially seeing pics in this thread of other screens of this model showing no major issues at all.

I also turned the light off last night and stood way back and there was bleeding towards the right bottom corner, bottom left corner, right side and along the bottom with a little up the top. it made my samsung syncmaster TFT screen look awesome (it has far less backlight bleeding than the DGM)

I will just have to wait and see what overclockers says when they get it but the issues were very distracting when using it.

I know somebody that owns three 30" dell IPS screens and he said what I'm experiencing with the DGM is not normal at all and a replacement will probably be very different.

Well decided to go for the Asus as its only just over £100 more now after the dgm price hike. Had intended to get the dgm for £299 as that was a wicked price. Well fingers crossed my Asus screen is a good one!

The DGM is on and off £299 all the time. I would have waited or called and asked tbh you never know.

I guess I could have asked but didn't realise that OCK would be willing to haggle on price. Tried to get them to price match a few years ago and got a firm no!

I'm not sure if the ips screens are better than the pls? did have a quick look on the net but each tec says its the best so its hard to really tell unless you have them side by side and see for yourself. It's got to be a nicer looking picture than this samsun BX2450 TN panel I'm using at the moment:)

Anything is better than a TN panel....yuk

VA>IPS>TN IMO

VA are as rare as hen's teeth and not even sure anybody makes a 27" screen. IPS far superior to TN.

Only reason ever to buy a tn if it's 120Mhz and you play fps (seriously) or want 3d.

mr griffin, did you get your Asus yet? I am a hair's breadth away from ordering one. I currently own the DGM but after a few months I am realising that it is just about worth its price.
The panel itself is excellent - although I am coming from a TN Iiyama 27 (1920x1080) so it is obviously going to be a step up.
All I'll say about the DGM is that its lack of features are coming to the fore for me - no stand adjust, high input lag and high(ish) power usage - not to mention the stuck pixel that I had out of the box :(
The glossy screen is alright, I quite like glossy panels but this is glossy plastic and not glass and it just looks and feels cheap.

Aww not cool! If I knew my monitor was sitting at home waiting I'd be making my excuses and get away out of there! It is Friday after all :p
I'll look forward to your thoughts if you have time to get away from your hopefully beautiful monitor!

I dont like the sound of that, especially the input lag.
Can you elaborate please mate?
What games are you seeing this lag? if indeed it is with gaming?
The input lag is the main reason i held off on this while i researched thus missed out on the cheaper deal.

Cully, I seem to have issues with BF3 - now I am 90% sure it is input lag, it just doesn't seem to run totally smooth. It can't be the PC because it should run fine.
I play a lot of Formula 1 and tbh I don't notice it here, but then again the FPS necessary to play F1 is a good bit lower than the likes of BF3.
I also play Crysis 2 and just got Far Cry 3 and I don't notice it here. I think the difference is I play Crysis and Far Cry with the XBOX controller and BF3 with the mouse so you're going through many more movements in BF3.
One thing I will say is that I haven't noticed any ghosting which is no bad thing.

Use vsync, then use msi afterburner to limit the fps to 58.

Have only had a couple of hours to play with the monitor, but first impressions are good, cant seem to find any defective pixles either thank god.

Games look much nicer and I haven't noticed any lag in games either although I only played dirt 3 - fifa 13 - and a quick game of css (which being a fast paced fps I would think you would notice it) that said I'm not coming from a 120hz screen.
Read a review online and it said to use trace setting 40 (reduces image lags) which I have and games seem to run sweet even on my old 480's.

Great monitor, well chuffed! Games look amazing at the higher res, however my GTX670 quickly runs out of RAM on Metro 2033!

The 2GB and 4GB versions of the gtx670 get identical performance at that resolution.
Even top end cards can struggle at 2560x1440 but it's not because of lack of vram.
